I did some speed tests with the Predator 212 and then I installed the 224 and did the exact same test to see how much faster or more powerful it was. All of these tests were done in a Mazda pickup truck.

LOL, at least you have some great content coming, I saw where the minibike video was killing it. Can't wait to see the brothers battle it out in upgrades.👍

hey brother im lovin the build! I think if you changed over from chain and clutch to a torque converter setup youd be much happier, it would last longer and be much quieter! Put the Big pulley straight on the input shaft you built
@ChrisfromKeyfarm Жыл бұрын
The torque converter I have on my golf cart works ok but isn't great, and I've had to work on it a couple times, now that I have a bigger engine the torque converter for it( the one rated for it's power) is real expensive. Maybe some day.

That'll be cool. I looked for many different kinds of vehicles before the truck came along, if I could have found a smart, I would have tried it.
@williamburnett373 Жыл бұрын
Just a quick question - if you are using the transmission and clutch from the truck, could you remove the clutch on the engine and replace it with just a sprocket?
@ChrisfromKeyfarm Жыл бұрын
I'm not using the original clutch, to do that you would have to mount the flywheel on the input shaft, which seems like it would be difficult and unnecessary. But yes, if you had a clutch on the input shaft, you could just have a sprocket on the engine.

I'd rip that governor out and put in a cam they have them for like $60 ideally you would get a better flywheel too but it's not like ts right behind you or between your legs if it came apart so I would send it but I don't know if 3600 is where it is governed or just a peak power rpm but thats a number I have seen and the the cams I saw said peak power at like 7500 that's more than twice and one of those torque converter CVT seems useful too

I would love to see two identical engines TIMED WITH positive connected sprockets to a jack shaft and place BOWTH on TDC and check the power then oposing 180° to see if there is a difference between two pistons firing at once or opposite each other which would make more power and torque.

How are you shifting without a clutch, does it grind the gears in the transmission?
