I had to put my 26 pound springs by hand last time and it’s not easy.I took a socket and cut the side of it and together with the vise I was able to make my own tool and get the job done.

All you need to do is put a dab of bearing grease on the inside of the keepers and they will stick to the valve stems with ease

Question, do both valves have lash caps on top? Or does just one side have one, and if so the intake or exhaust side?

I'm building a 224 rn n I noticed that the intake side of the valve springs seat it has 2 spots where the spring doesn't sit flat, I also noticed that it gives the spring a bit more tension, work that affect anything? Do I need to grind those sports down?

The heaviest spring the stock head can use us a 26# spring. Dual or 36# single springs need to have the spring pockets machined I would not simply “grind” the raised portion. Best to do it right!

What should the gap be set on 22lb springs on a 224 predator

Set the lash at .003” regardless of what springs you use
