Great review Sir! I just bought mine a week ago. A friend shared your video with me (just today) as he’s thinking of purchasing a better jump cue. We are meeting up so he can try mine so he can decide which brand cue to go with. As for this cue and me, it’s amazing how easily the cue ball takes flight. I love my new jump cue by predator. I have the cuetec propel myself but i have had a decent try with the air rush that my friend owns. Between the 2 I found the propel better for me and suits my needs.

@hendrik piepke I had the propel for about 10 months and have hit with the air rush and I think the Airush is front weighted better, jumps just as effortlessly if not better, much more control especially full table stop shots, it’s a bit longer which helps with accuracy in some cases, plus it has changeable weight bolts so you can fit it to your needs. I’ve sold my propel and will be getting the AirRush this week period. I think it’s superior

The becue jump would be nice comparison. And your thought on carbon fiber benefits for break and jump cues. You see alot of pros who dont like carbon fiber because of lack od feel for their playing cue but their break and jumps sre usually carbon fiber.

I have the predator air 2, recently got to hit some balls with the air rush. The air 2 is a fantastic jump cue, however the air rush is even more effortless to use. The length is positive note, making it feel more comfortable and accurate in my opinion. I ordered mine yesterday and should have it by the end of the week. Thanks for the video Karl Boyes.

@@dangoldenberg704 Even with short jumps, (2 balls - 1/2 a ball width between CB and Blocking Ball) I believe they both get over the ball effortlessly but the AirRush gets over it a little bit easier. In my opinion, bar table or not, it is the superior jump cue and best on the market currently over the propel in all aspects

Any predator jump cue is just "okay". If you want the current best in the market agreed upon by various pool instructors, experts, professional players, and even youtubers, that would be a Cuetec Propel.

Once I had occasion to tested air II jump and it is phenomenal. Karl can you compare air II and air rush? Rush cost twice as air II, but is it twice better? And what about other carbon jump sticks? I saw Mieszko and other predator players made great play with this new tool :)

I know this video is a little older... but I'm thinking about this or the Cuetec Propel. I've heard great things about both... but it's hard to find people who've tried both. You've reviewed both... hate to put you in a situation where you'd have to side with a particular brand, BUT (🤣), did you notice 1 performed significantly better than the other? Or did you notice a value in the predator that justified the $150 price difference. Hit with the air rush for the 1st time last night... it jumps way easier than my Jacoby jumper.

Very nice review. But for me, the price is a little steep for my blood. I have the Predator Air 2 for less than half that and can't believe how well that jumps. So I don't think I can justify the cost difference.

Boy, it would take a lot of practice --- if yer not a "jumper". It's been 25+ yrs since I shot regularly till the last couple months ... tryin' to get my game back; in time I'll get back to close. Fun it is and having a blast. Not sure that I'll ever get into jumping but haven't ruled it out completely ... let's get the "game" back 1st ........ then --- maybe. But damn that looks nice.

which is better at "ease" of jumping? I feel like the propel is almost effortless. maybe it's the taom tip on it? I'm not a naturally good jumper, and the cuetec felt easier, whereas out of the box, the air rush felt like it "miscued" too easily. I will practice more with both to see if it's just me. By the way, your work with Matchroom, Emily, and the players is really encouraging for pool and highly appreciated. I'd love to see pool become a mainstream sport. Hey, how about an app to follow pool players with social features and other goodies? I'm a software engineer. Let's make something great to promote matchroom, the players, events, and pool!

Watching Karl’s technique has helped me with short range jumps with my original Predator Air. I think the price of carbon fiber shafts in the industry is too high, and has deterred me from changing my equipment from the 314-2 shaft. $599 USD can buy a lot more useful for items that are pool and non-pool related.

That price is ridiculous. Then again everything carbon fiber is overpriced. The blanks are easy to produce and there isn't a rigorous selection and year long production process.

if you are skilled at jumping you can pot any shot and play with top screw side any combination plus pot the ball and play position very consistently, if you are skilled in kicking its still luck if you pot and most skilled kickers try and just hit the correct side of ball to get safe anyways … you are correct at amateur level though …
