Yeah. We never SEE an engineer fight a xenomorph OR the weird bootleg aliens in Prometheus either. We only see one get taken out by total surprise by a tentacle hentai monster and then we see billions of them get gassed to death.

Interference from Fox executives. The film was originally going to be in line with the Alien timeline and closer to the novels/comics, but then stupid happened.

from what I remember this series is a bit of mixed bag. the first part was generic but okay set up the second was an interesting extension to the events of aliens if I remember right the third was weird and not great and the last was a satisfying enough conclusion.
