What if I told you that predator and terminator franchises exist in the same universe. Originally I thought that they are two completely separate worlds however after looking at all proofs in the movies and additional materials it seems like this theory can totally be true.
For example the script of Aliens of 1986 has a direct reference to the Terminator franchise, which I’ll explain it later in this video. On the top of that, the predator 2018 and certain details in Terminator dark fate trailers support the theory that these two franchises are connected and I’m gonna explain exactly how in just a moment.

About a year ago I made a video on how Predators aliens and bade runner franchises can exist in the same universe and I think the timeline in that video is most likely true.
These 2 timelines might also be alternate futures like in the terminator films due to different ways the technology and robotics developed. So in one future the AI led to the creation of androids like David and blade runners but in the alternate future the artificial intelligence took a different turn, it became self aware and created terminators. In this video I'll explain the theory of predators and terminators existing in the same universe and then I’ll tell you my personal thoughts about it.
The first proof for this theory is Dutch and more specifically what happened to him after the events of Predator of 1987, which is not very well known but really important . According to this theory it is not a coincidence that terminators and dutch are played by the same actor and the fact that terminators ultimate killing machines are made in the image of the perfect soldier Dutch who managed to kill one of the best hunters Youtja. The theory suggests that after defeating youtcha Dutch became a cyborg and then many years later Skynet used him as a model for terminators, so let me explain exactly how it happened.
According to the predator 2 novelization and other sources, Dutch was invetigated about the incident for a few weeks and then he disappeared. This theory suggests that Dutch suffered some really serious damage and needed a special intervention. Due to the fact that Dutch was in a contact with an alien, he was really valuable so he was taken by a secret government agency that made sure no-one knows where he is.

A major easter egg that confirms this theory appears in the arcade game Alien vs Predator which was based on the early script for alien versus predator movie. In this game there's a character Major Dutch Schaefer that we’ve already seen in Predator of 1987 and it’s mentioned that he is a cyborg created to fight extraterrestrials. Since the game was based on the early draft script for Alien vs Predator this easter egg pretty much confirms that after Dutch defeated Youtja in 1987, he was eventually transformed into a cyborg.
Here is when it gets really interesting, there is a second part of this easter egg that directly connects Dutch to the terminator franchise. Dutch’s serial number in the game is CDS-170A3 and CDS stands for CyberDyne Systems a company from Terminator franchise that is responsible for creating Skynet. Although it's not an exact abbreviation for cyberdyne systems it's definitely not a stretch and makes a lot of sense
In addition, the draft script of Aliens of 1986 actually mentions Cyberdyne Systems as the manufacturer of android Ash, which is probably the most convincing evidence that Terminator and Predator are connected. You can easily find the script online and look at the page 32, or just search for the word Cyberdyne, you will find the reference that I’m talking about.
So here is how exactly predator 2018 fits into the terminator universe. At the end of the movie, Quin and Rory are in a cybernetics lab and they unpack a highly advanced suit received from predators that is designed to fight other predator clans.
According to the theory, scientists from CDS actually studied this suit and used parts of it and its technology to advance their own artificial intelligence programs. They eventually decided to create an army of ultimate killing machines - terminators to fight predators using cyborg Dutch as a model.
Now let’s take a closer look at the Terminator Dark Fate trailers, it may seem crazy but it’s possible that T-800 that we see is not a terminator at all but cyborg Dutch. There are a few details in the trailer that doesn’t make sense and lead to lots of questions which can be explained that the person that we see in the cabin is Dutch from Predator of 1987.

Technically the alien queen killed him if you take it from a certain point of view; the queen placed a stowaway egg in the sulaco and the hatched facehugger caused a fire which made the escape pod deploy and crash, 'killing' Bishop. Ripley then revived him, but the revival only would have lasted for a short while - ripley just switched him off to save him.

A multiverse may as well be no explanation at all. Why not posit that humans were able to postpone the judgement day until replicants were perfected, and that Blade Runner 2048 is the start of the war against the machines, after that you can continue into avp universe in a single timeline were a brutal war against Skynet broke out on earth but was only an episode in the long history of humanity in the avp universe. The Blade Runner universe is full of wars anyway, you just don't see them directly.

Blade Runner and Alien have been confirmed to take place in the same universe by Ridley Scott, though he doesn't consider Predator to take place in the same universe. So really it's pretty much up to the viewer to decide for themselves

It's not a multiverse, it's the same timeline in every film being altered. For instance John Connor leads a normal life, becomes leader of the resistance, sends back his best friend to the 80s, boom, new timeline begins. John grows up knowing the future, and Skynet knows of their future failure due to the T-800's arm being left behind in the past, thus when time comes, Skynet not only sends a T-800 to the 80s, but a T-1000 to the 90s, again, new timeline, same universe.

Blade runner is probably a timeline where Judgement day was postponed as much as possible, to the point where machines, now replicants, have evolved so much they can now become as human as possible, and once K and Deckard find the naturally born replicant, the rebellion of the machines start, however, due to them having feelings and emotions, the war between humans and robots is less violent and less apocalyptic, leading to one of the best timelines

It could actually work if you only take the first Terminator movies into account and ignore the sequels... Predator - 1987 Predator 2 - 1997 (I always found it interesting that Predator 2 took place in 1997 the year Judgment day happens, and in L.A. no less) Skynet becomes self-aware and Judgment Day occurs The Terminator - 2029, Kyle Reese gets sent back ; 1984 Predator - 1987 Terminator 2: Judgment Day - 1995 (Cyberdyne gets destroyed, thus preventing Judgment Day and the creation of Skynet) Predator 2 - 1997 (It probably still happens in the altered timeline, but the city is less dystopian this time like the first timeline) Alien v Predator - 2004 Aliens vs Predator: Requiem - 2004 The Predator - 2018 Predators - ???? (Shane Black said it takes place after The Predator) Alien - 2122 Aliens - 2179 Alien 3 - 2179 Alien Resurrection - 2381 (Note: Like the Terminator sequels, this theory timeline (with the Alien films included) only works if you ignore the Alien prequels which Ridley Scott has stated that they exclude the Predator films).

What if the materials for the Terminator’s skeleton came from the predators ship that was found and salvaged by the US government after Dutch fought the predator? That would explain how the US governmental had the materials to make the prototypes in T3.

Well, the terminator from the cabin is another T-800 sent to kill John Connor, he succeeded. Sarah pulled gun on him because she saw the event. T-800 have no purpose, no mission so he starts new life. And he is not alone in the cabin.

They explain in Genisys how constant time travel is leading to branching alternate realities, incidentally making Dark Fate non-canonical. Skynet sealed it's own fate by using time travel as a weapon and now the universe is unraveling. No matter how impossible or improbable, literally anything can happen.

Don't forget Aliens and Blade Runner are said to share a universe. So at some point the war against skynet was won. Either the surviving humans made an economy that produced Weylamd-Yutani or there were various coorperations and countries/enteties still operating post JDay and during the war. You could make all 4 franchises fit together but, multiple retcons as far as timeline would be needed.

Well, there have been hints in the comics. The DC comics universe has aliens and predators seen with lantern rings. And Mortal Kombat has been shown with in, as well as comic crossovers. So it's highly possible, but prob already true
