Making predictions with only one cosmere world viewpoint. You are bold, my friend!

Bold and stupid are often interchangeable 😂

Ah, the inexplicable Ire... trust me, as a Sanderson veteran, knowing what planet they're from and how their magic works just raises MORE questions. Merciful Domi, so many questions. I agree that this is the most fun part of the book. Probably because it's original action instead of Ghost Kelsier watching scenes from the original trilogy or finding out things we already know.

Highly recommend trying out Warbreaker before diving into the huge stormlight series. It's a good standalone Sanderson book to be a nice breakup between the big mistborn and stormlight series. (Also leads to some cool moments in stormlight. I won't say too much as blindly stumbling across the reveal in stormlight was one of the coolest moments for me).

Agreed, of all the other cosmere books you could read Warbreaker is a must I would say.

I may or may not have just purchased warbreaker to read next

@conorreads Good choice. Great standalone book, excellent cosmere connection and it wraps up nicely in a way that gives you a reason to dip out of the cosmere before dipping back in for something like SLA.

The general recommendation is that you read Warbreaker before Stormlight.

I think you can read Way Of Kings before Warbreaker and be perfectly fine. HAS to be read before Oathbringer at the latest IMO but preferably before Words of Radiance

Love your videos man, I’m excited for you to get into stormlight. I think the first two stormlight books are his best work by far

Thank you for continuing to post these. I think the issue you may have is that some questions you have now are more answers to other questions and you might not necessarily remember when you get those points in other series. But I'll keep watching and try to fill in any blanks if you miss them, without spoiling anything of course.

I love this lol. And yes, you will have to live with it for a little bit mate... Reading more Cosmere will certainly help you answer some of these questions. Maybe. It will also give you more questions haha, it's awesome. Where are you going next? I'd hop to Stormlight, or read all the short stories in Arcanum that aren't spoilers tbh

really hyped for you to read Stormlight. Your prediction regarding fortune is wrong tho. I can spoil that, thats not a shard, it is basiclly just an attribute. For example: like tapping speed from a metalmind, but instead of speed you are tapping fortune. You would need another metalmind to store it and while storing you would be unlucky all the time if I remember correctly..... and those people use a different magic system entirelly....but yeah. And yes, those people are from another planet (from Sel, where Elantris is set). They are just talking about threnody, which is also a planet. The novella "shadows for silence in the Forests of Hell" does play there. Also there will be a book on this world in the future.

It is worth a read while Era 1 is fresh, the 'spoilers' aren't story spoilers for later books but simply that for all the those stories you will contemplate how the wider cosmere works. A lot of the information comes from between the books anyway. I think moving on through the cosmere books with these unanswered questions will give you more perspective for the more subtle inclusions in Sandersons books.

The Fortune device and the glowing liquid both have to do with Sel, the planet Elantris is set on.

so something you should know, in the cosmere not only names are capitalised also magical terms so not everything that starts with a capital lrtter is a name
@WithberetFlor6 ай бұрын
Nice video! Fortune isn't a shard btw it's capitalized because it's a spiritual property with somewhat future reading effects
