Gallagher has the most interceptions in the attacking half in the premier, if we can win the ball and counter enough, we will score with our attacking talent.

People are complaining about players like Wirtz or Palmer as they are already stars but breakout stars means they're gonna be well known names everywhere. Right now casual football fans in Germany don't know Palmer and casual football fans in England don't know Wirtz. This would change drastically if they play well at the Euros because anyone who has even just a little bit of interest in football is watching the big international tournaments.

@@brendanm4179 If you haven't heard about Wirtz or lamine yamal yet it's not because they haven't had their break out, it's because you haven't been paying attention. I don't really watch or care about the premier league that much apart from a few top games, but I still know how well Cole palmer is doing. Whether a player has broken out should not be depending on the attention span of a few casuals but on the general recognition by people who actually follow the game.

Think Nieve is spot on for mentioning braithwaite. England have a big issue with centre backs that and keeper are there big weakness and stones needs a centre back partner and maguire could be a big issue against some quicker forwards and braithwaite could fill it well.

Real lack of defenders here. Antonio Silva for Portugal deserves a shout imo. Also if Writz isn't already classed as a star then surely Frimpong should be on the list for the Dutch. Been absolutely ridiculous this season but only has a handful of caps so far.

João Neves is one to watch in Euro. This guy is insane at this age, absolutely machine in the midfield and was the best player in Benfica squad this season. It’s hard to get many minutes in the competition because we have Bruno, Vitinha, Ruben Neves, Bernardo, João Palhinha but is not impossible to shine in this Euro2024

@@leao1012Sesko is very young but imo his finishing is quite poor. Openda is not clinical as well where he misses clear cut chances for a striker but he has the pace and ball skills to create some chances for himself. Also Sesko has 7 goals in a team with 60 goals this season as a striker who has started most games. If you know Bundesliga's weak defending and how good Leipzig's creative players like Olmo/Xavi Simmons are, the strikers get so many chances. Sesko has been underperforming his xg but with that context its even worse. That being said he is only 20, its his first season in a big league, that's always hard. So he definitely could have major improvement in the next 1-2 season.

As a Dane I can almost guarantee you that Matt O’riley won’t break out at the euros, because Hjulmand is not gonna play him. He’s 23 and still only has one appearance… and that’s because our manager prefers to play old finished players (legends tbf) rather than switching it up.

I personally want to see Matt O'Riley do well for Denmark, but I don't think he's going to get picked as long as Hjulmand is the coach. Hjulmand seems to want to keep "the core" of the Denmark team together by including players such as Yussuf Poulsen, in my opinion to the detriment of the team, instead of other players with more match-time.

I reckon Jayden Danns at Anfield could prove a real gem in the weeks and months to come. Obviously an awful lot will depend on who Liverpool are able to get as their new manager. But I have heard that those who have seen him performing at youth level reckon he is the best striker to come out of the Academy who is actually from Merseyside since the days of Fowler and Owen. Lewis Koumas is another one who is worth watching out for and Bobby Clark.

João Neves should get minutes for sure, but besides those who were mentioned, there´s also Vitinha, Otávio , Matheus Nunes, Ruben Neves, all of these guys play more or less in the same position as joão neves. I´ve never seen such amount of talent in the portuguese squad per position EVER, it´s absolutely insane. As for portuguese players that could potentially breakout during the tournament as well, you have Antonio Silva and Gonçalo Inácio, both top central defenders. Also, growing rapidly is Francisco Conceição and Francisco Trincão, both could be called to the Euro as they are playing some amazing football in our league. I really can´t see a stronger team in Europe right now.
