Unfortunately, Windsor got relegated to CPL Division 2 a few years ago and wasn't able to make it back to the top level yet. This year of Canadian Championship they actually got eliminated by League1 Maritimes team from Charlottetown in Round of 64.

This is fun and all, but we don’t have to wait until 2040 to get an expanded CanChamp. Why not include 8-12 clubs from League1 Canada to compete against the 8 CPL clubs and 3 MLS clubs? You could also include the Canadian clubs in America, like Calgary Foothills, FC Manitoba, Thunder Bay Chill, etc. To make the costs lower you could let the lower tier clubs host the earlier rounds. It could be exciting.

The answer is still travel costs. Most of those teams can't even afford to have a single paid player on their roster. They would need to play against each other in the first round (which involves travel for the away side). Even if they play against a team from their own league, in the next round they might face another tier 3 team from a different part of the country. To solve this issue, Canada Soccer has to cover the costs through prize money given for participating in the CC/winning a match. And I guess they don't feel like it since those teams don't bring anything to the tournament in their opinion.

Le tirage au sort est mal fait .... Normalement Montréal et Toronto devrait être favori #1 et #2 .... Donc ...pas supposé se rencontrer en demi-finale parce qu'ils se sont retrouvés en finale du championnat l'an dernier... Le classement de MLS n'a aucun rapport dans cela...

2040 ca ne sera jamais parfait mais ca devrait être 30% de la population est bilingue, un 50% ne parle que l'anglais et un autre 20% parle uniquement le Français … je n'inclue pas les langues autochtones ni allophones juste le pourcentage de la population qui parles l'une des deux langues officielles si on a une population de 100millions ca fais 20 millions de francophones et ca monte a 50 millions si l'on rajoute les francophones bilingues… L'equipe nationale, affectueusement appelle les Rouges on gagne une coupe du monde masculin et 2 féminin avec un beaux discours en Français de la capitaines de l'equipe, fille du célèbres Georges St-Pierre et de Bianca Alexandru, nee et élevée en Colombie Britannique.
