The symbol that appears when sage is resurrected is also the same as the one that appears when the souls of the ancients leave the koco and ascend after they find peace, who also have their souls stored by the cyberspace. And the fact that she says “father?” shows that this is the same sage from the end of the game, since she didn’t directly call him father until very later on

Ian Flynn (the writer for frontiers) has said that Sage will probably, maybe, return as a villainous antagonist, in no way shape or form a hero, (he said "Why would you think that?" when his cohost said "I thought Sage was good now" and even subtlety hinted that he would be brought back on for dlc before it was announced, I've been following it closely to report on it but didn't notice until after it was announced and went wait a minute he's dropping hints), bec eggman would be angered by how little sonic cared about sage when she just kinda dies in a big explosion and sonic doesn't really care that eggmans creation gets annihilated that he let help sonic (source: Bumblekast episode: I can't remember off the top of my head but it's one of the more recent ones, like really recent ones in the frontiers spoiler section, probably the last one uploaded or right b4 it at the time of this comment). Colors ultimate is the first game where movie sonic aesthetic is present btw (just not central focus like in frontiers). Also, I don't think sonic adventure 3 is going to be called SA3 if they make it unless they like make remakes of the first two adventure games or rerelease them again and I don't see remakes being feasible within the time between the second and third movie, so at most it's going to be remasters if they actually do make sa3 unless sega gets a bunch of ppl on sonic team or a b team for outsourced development of those titles respectively alongside sa3 on the main team which is possible but I feel it's unlikely considering the colors ultimate disaster.

Honestly, I didn't think Sage would have become a future hero anyways. One of the key points of her character arc is how she wants to have a family and has found a father-daughter ship with her creator, Dr. Robotnik. And on top of Eggman seeing her as a daughter, neither would leave the other. Now perhaps she may not be as so pointedly antagonistic to Sonic like Eggman is and that she may have a bit more respect for him than her father does (partially learned from Eggman's respect for sonic despite his strong hate for the hedgehog), tho I do expect her to still harass sonic from time to time, partially as that may be a bonding factor for her and her father, but I do expect that she'll stay by Dr. Eggman's side and be an antagonist that way.

She might be handled how neo metal was handled in idw (at least in the first arc) which would make her one of the most dangerous antagonists in the series aside from eggman (because if what sonic team has been trying to say about canon recently is true, the metal virus saga presumably actually happened at least within the universe of the games but obviously not as one of the games) and obviously the end boss, since sage's one of the only other sentient eggman creations (shadow was made by eggmans grandfather or aliens, kinda confusing, i forgot, not eggman tho).

I think the pieces of The End might end up being important. It might be a corruptive force that will "help" those those desiring power and destruction. Such people might be numerous, from small criminals through wronged victims to those defining themselves through power they have like Infinite. In the next game we might fight people corrupted with pieces of The End as bosses, until someone will gather enough pieces to become a full incarnation of The End. My pick for that role is Infinite.

Another thing on the topic with brand synergy, Shadow has recently been resurrected with his character not being over the top "edgy" in Sonic Prime. And so therefore I think Shadow finally has proper recognition and a very good appeal to an audience that he is prepared to be not only in the upcoming movie, but the game he could possible be featured in. Even if not featured in the games, props to the entire team who worked on Sonic Prime.

It makes more sense of the origins of Chaos than the mutant chao. Also on Amy’s future, it will be the a more personal story like you said finding the right person to help. However not on the scale of Sonic’s macro battles, more as gaining new abilities which carry over into the main Sonic game’s making her a combat role other than her hammer. It would be very useful in Sonic adventure 3.

Game idea for sega: You travel to different planets (planets being like islands in frontiers) you collect the chaos emerald and you fight the mysterious being living on the planet after defeating the first boss you see a purple bullet head off to the next planet so you follow it in a super sonic flying mini game where you dodge the stars. Upon reaching the plant an enemy similar to the last but bigger approaches you and knocks you down so you repeat until the second boss and after defeating it another purple bullet almost the same but bigger goes to the next planet, you follow it and it leads you to the next planet and you repeat being beaten down by the boss. This time you notice the emeralds starting to change, into more of a darker look only some of them tho. So you continue and fight the third boss this one taking a similar shape to supreme you beat the heck out of it and once again a bigger purple bullet shoots to the next island you collect the chaos emeralds and you notice they are getting darker, but you ignore it. after beating the boss a massive bullet approaches to the last I planet and this time you find out what all those purple bullets turned into, The final form of the end so you rush to collect the emeralds and now all the emeralds have turned into this darker form. After you collect all the emeralds you transform and there’s the form people have been wanting a super corruption form, and unsurprisingly it’s just what you needed because it gives you a boost in power. After all this journey you unlock a secret final move ( similar on how u do when u start getting corrupted in frontiers) so you fight the massive being of destruction in your new form after you beat the game you find out the origin of the end (possibly created by negative energy in chaos emeralds which might be why they are so bright) and you attempt to take it out once and for all in the second phase the end has had enough, and it takes the form of all the titans almost just combined and it’s power accelerates (maybe this is where shadow fits in idk where to put him) and you fight this being while similar to dark Gaia phase 1 you dodge some of it bullets and beat the hell out of it this repeats a couple time until you defeat the end or so you thought that was only part of the dark matter you had been fighting in frontiers and in this game the end finally takes it’s true form and the end is near but sonic won’t let it happen he has a determined look on his face as he closes his eyes and uses all the power he can from the chaos emeralds ( good time to bring back hyper sonic here) and then the fight begins first of all the end shoots massive projectiles that you will need to fight and destroy and then u get to the end and beat the heck out of it while dodging it’s bullets (similar to before) and this repeats. The end shoots it’s laser like in frontiers and then u get a quick time event (similar to unleshed final boss perfect dark Gaia) and if u successfully complete the QTE you get to deal the final blow and defeat the end! (And the end got out again after being sealed because of eggman releasing sage, you can add the other characters but that’s just a plot for sonic and the end any character could fit into it I’m just not sure where) ( Thank you for reading)

Ik this is random but to be fair, I doubt that not EEEVERYRHIGN you’re saying is true, and I doubt you think so either, but the theory is incredibly believable and it feels right on so many levels, one thing I would be able to see with this is that it would also be an homage and possibly a complete reboot for sonic 06. “The End comes back in the form of Mephiles The Dark”, silver’s story is redone, we get a Solaris return, maybe sage even replaces Elise. She did have a huge effect on The End in frontiers and based on everything you’ve said in this video and how 06 failed but was also praised for its villain writing and silver considering he’s a pretty well appreciated character by the community, it feels very logical and seems just as plausible as everything you’ve said. Obviously nobody should get their hopes up too high for everything you’ve said but it’s still a very strong possibility and very interesting to think about, I hope that some of this is true at the very least

I actually have a theory about Sonic’s character, which may be a stretch but hear me out. What if, Sonic becomes depressed knowing that his friends have hopeful futures while he has no motive. What if he becomes more like Shadow, becoming a bit more edgy and more of his dark self. This can opens a lot of possibilities for his story, hell, we can utilize Dark Super Sonic to represent his true dark side. If Shadow become important for a sequel for Sonic’s adventure, what if Shadow is the reason why Sonic doesn’t go to that side, to prevent anyone to go down the same dark path Shadow himself went through. A common point is that dark super Sonic isn’t actually canon, which fair, but this could be the perfect chance to bring in that form while making sense in a story like this. This may be a stretch but is definitely could be a good story if done correctly.

The End really kind of felt like an after thought in some ways. Though if The End really isn't the end, then I suppose they could build off it's story in other games building up the characters to face it with the lessons they sat out to learn while in the background The End is reconstituting it self for some other plan everyone needs to come together to face. And on a side note I do agree if they do bring back the end agian. Then they can't exactly just use Super Sonic to beat it, and if they really really want to set The End above all that came before it, then allowing the Chaos Emeralds to become the Super Emeralds to imbue Sonic with Hyper Sonic would elevate at the bare minimal the final boss of the next game and showcase an actual need for their return. I mean to add on it, even Sage was unsure even Super Sonic had what it takes to contend with The End alone. And while that isn't saying much considering she spent the whole game doubting Sonic at this point she was the most open to all possibilities and even with her new found belief in what Sonic could do. It just seems like to me with the lore, the titans and the islands defenses and the presentation that Super Sonic is basically the bare minimum that Sonic needs to even have a chance against island and the End's forces the power of the Chaos Emeralds may in fact might not be enough to defeat The End once and for all which makes the return of the End and the possibility of the Super Emeralds all the more compelling for a sequel.

I think the same, the ancients are the most advanced civilization that we have seen up to this point and they are the original masters of the chaos emeralds, all their technology use it it powered their machines, cyberspace and even the titans and despite that they were insuficient, it's obvious that the chaos emeralds alone are just not powerful enough to fight against the end But you know what the ancients didnt had access to, the Master emerald, it looks like they didnt even use it until after the end was trapped in cyberspace when they build the master emerald altar, the Master emerald may be the ley to defeating the end

@@carso1500 Definately a good idea. I think I mentioned it sort of in my other post. But showing the Master Emerald drawing in the Chaos Emeralds may be more significant in hindsight. If they did all that with just the understanding of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, then adding the Master Emerald into the mix could of been the game changer. Or if they turned into the Super Emeralds as well. Though either they didn't have time to study the Master Emerald either because of the remants that got wiped out, or couldn't account for the radiation that mutated them. Either way it does give Sonic and the others a bit of a leg up as Knuckles role with the Master Emerald may become more relevant agian.

@@Naruku2121 yeah the chaos emeralds are native from the ancients world, the master emerald is native to earth, the ancients didnt seemed to have used the master emerald or maybe they just didnt had the time to study it and understand more of its power before the end found them, so if the ancients accomplished all of those feats only with the seven chaos emeralds then potentially the master emerald could potentially prove to be the game changer infusing the chaos emerald to transform them into the super emeralds and using hyper sonic to fight against the ends true body at full power, a feat that even the ancients with all their power failed to accomplish it would be a cool way to get the master emerald and knuckles back into the main story, something that hasnt happened since the time of adventure 1

Yes to all of this except for the boost staying. Replace that with the spindash and more open, physics-based level design. Spark the Electric Jester 3 comes to mind, as that's basically an evolved form of the SA2 speed stages + DMC-styled combat. Perfect for the Frontiers followup you're proposing.

4:23 I actually tested this in a way where I changed the difficulty to hard from easy right before the cutscene when you defeat Supreme: it worked. You can beat supreme in easy mode and still get into the end fight. The difficulty check probably happens after Super Sonic ends his speech with "I need your help! We can end this! Please!"

I also wonder how much the delay was about brand synergy. I think the brand synergy is more about the game coming out earlier. Like sure, Frontiers was supposed to come out as Sonic's 30-year anniversary that year but got delayed, which I don't think was because of the brand synergy (and sure, brand synergy most likely is an aspect to some degree absolutely), but because Iizuka wanted more time to get this game done. Wasn't it that SEGA gave an extra year, when Iizuka wanted 2 years, so yea, a brand synergy not because of the delay, but because of the early release. I didn't go check the fact for this comment (especially when the majority of google searches leads me to the pre-release mess where people said "Delay the game" a lot) and I'm explaining what I read somewhere and remembered it, so "trust me bro" I guess :D

Ian Flynn has clarified that Chaos is STILL a mutated Chao, because he doesn’t look quite like the ancients. He’s a chao that was mutated by his dormant ancestor genes, which is actually something that happens when modern genetic scientists fuck around and find out. People have, with some genetic fuckery, been able to trigger dormant Dinosaur genes in chickens, giving them these weird reptile beaks. Chaos is like if your house cat gave birth to something that looked remarkably like a sabertooth tiger.

You're nearly on the money with The End. Kishimoto has come out and say that we've never seen the actual form of The End. This adds to your theory of it being a concept. The Moon is the Japanese symbolism of death and that's what the team decided to use to personify death for the boss. The End is not only the very concept of the end of the universe but it is also the very concept of death itself too. Kishimoto says because of this, to Sage and Sonic, they saw something else but it's individual to them for what they personify as death, what scares them the most, who or what they would equate to as death or the end. So we never get to see who or what Sonic and Sage sees when fighting The End. So The End is the concept of the end but also the concept of death but we will never see it's true form because for whoever sees it, they will see something else, whatever that person personifies as death.

SA3 has to go all out. Multiple characters, CRUSH 40 music, big story, no 2D sections, momentum gameplay, and they should include Silver and Blaze, because why not? Well it would make sense that knuckles was added much later. The team behind the animation said they have been creating it for nearly 4 years, so the decision to have knuckles was made within the 1st year of development.

I know this will sound almost impossible and silly and I wouldn't blame you for not believing me but I literally predicted EVERYTHING you said in this video. Everything from them going to space, to Hyper Sonic. I also predicted some other things like them going to planet wisps and the black arms. An open world with Planet wisps can give Sonic Team an excuse to reuse assets from Generations. Also, the Black Arms gave their DNA to Gerald Robotnick and it could have also been to create the ultimate life form to save them from The End. This will make the whole plot of Shadow the hedgehog be seen in a different light. The only thing I did agree with is the release year which I think will be 2026. This was a great video you're very underrated, I'm definitely subbed.

ian flynn is very into the lore at the minute he has explained about the chaos emeralds but i wonder if he will touch upon some of the things he mentioned in the egg memos he mentioned the echidnas, the black arms and the babylonians now we know he cant touch the echidnas but i do wonder if he will touch upon the black arms they clearly had influence on the past such as transporting bird shaped flying temples and there history with the chaos emeralds we dont know what they did during there prior visits before the creation of shadow so prehaps we could learn more about them

I like to think that the end's manifestation as a "moon" is not really a moon but a black dwarf a completely cooled down dead star. I think if Super Sonic represents the sun, light and life, It'd be more fitting for the end to represent a black dwarf (dead star), dark and death.

Honestly with how much they played up the anime aspects of Super Sonic, the fact that he got a new form, and we got to play as other characters? Do you think that there will be a sonic x reference? If sonic adventure 3 happens, and we get to travel to space we could find Easter eggs about the meterexe or Cosmo. I say this because sonic x was focused around the adventure games, and sonic and friends traveled through space to fight the meterexe. Also they encountered fake chaos emeralds, allowing a one use per emerald.

I know it's a long way off, but I really hope the Sonic movie 4 follows a retelling of 06 or Rush. I think Silver and Blaze are amazing characters and I want them to matter to the series again, and following the brand synergy theory would make that a natural consequence. I'd also settle for it being a mix of Sonic CD and Heroes for Metal Sonic and Amy if they don't appear in movie 3.

I honestly don’t see SA3 as the next game. YET. I feel like it’s to early. And with the concepts you describe. The question I have is. How will these characters truly connect with each other? I feel with the time limit your giving this game (~3 years) while sonic frontiers took around 5 years I believe. And this game was rushedish (Chaos Island). And they seem to continue to develop Frontiersz making a game of a large scope that ur thinking. Very unlikely within that time. I think the next game will be *mini* Sonic Adventures. Let me explain. In the first one we will get Shadow Adventure (or somethin like that) We’ll have Tails finding some ancient magical power. And he attempts to figure out it’s power to restore an area that eggman previously destroyed. Tails screws something up and sends a huge power signal. Eggman picks up on this signal. And sets after it with repaired sage. Shadow shows up and something happens and makes the power surge happen again. Sage goes rogue and goes on a rampage that she can’t control because the end has corrupted her. So the three characters that’ll be playable here would be Eggman, Shadow, Tails. Shadow would get a moment to talk to sage after the rampage and discovers that hey she’s very similar to Maria. Then Maria is scared off by Tails and Eggman fighting. Que adventures here. Final battle is some entity of the end and killing it either Destroys or Frees Sage. I have multiple ideas for other characters. However this message is already getting long. If interested I may add more. Basically. There’s going to be multiple games before SA3 with sonic taking a back seat or possibly not involved at all. For SA3 we combine all the styles in those games into one. And go fight the End origin

What about Sonic Galactic Adventure? Not SA3, I know, but makes sense as to the theme to the game as of space. Also, what if we get different master emeralds for different planets, kind of tying in as to what the master emerald true purpose is. because I have a feeling just the master emerald being on earth isn't just a coincidence. maybe the master emerald is a piece to a bigger gem. Also also, we could throw in different species of different planets like maybe use the seedrians from Sonic X into the main game or revisiting planet wisp and we get the wisps, the original babylonian's original planet, or maybe new species for other planets that could be in the game. We could even have the planet's own version of the Sonic cast, like an alien version of Sonic that reflects Sonic's early days or something like that, going full circle to the casts and bringing life to the planets you visited.
