Predicting the ROUTES for Vancouver, LA, Athens, & Piranha Plant Cove in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe!

With Waves 5 & 6 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass having more courses from Tour coming, I thought I would try to predict the routes I think they will take by looking at their Tour counterparts.

Athens and Vancouver are a pain to predict heh, they really have the most complex ones last~ Hope you're doing ok~ My guesses are: Los Angeles: Each lap does its respective variant number. I think they'll edit the turn into LA2 like they did for the Singapore map. Vancouver: Lap 1 - Vancouver 2 Lap 2 - Vancouver 3, using a 2nd start line like Singapore Lap 3 - Vancouver 1 Athens: Lap 1 - Athens 1 Lap 2 - Athens 1 + Athens 3 Lap 3 - Athens 2 PPC: Easy 1-2-3, exactly as in your prediction

I agree with Vancouver Velocity being complicated, but Athens Dash was simple to predict at least for me. My Athens Dash prediction isn't the most exciting, but it's the only way I think it can work while using all normal variants. I don't like your idea of having lap 2 be identical to the first lap with Athens Dash 3 inserted onto the end. I thought that the formula for these courses would be similar to Tokyo Blur, New York Minute, and Amsterdam Drift, with that unused exit in Vancouver Velocity being a potential shortcut.

Good routes! My thoughts on Los Angeles Laps is 1, 2, and 3 on their respective variants, but each finish line is in a different spot, 1’s will start off the race, the second will go through backwards, and the third the regular way. Where the finish lines will be placed, on the pier, just before the second route’s section, and just before the third route’s section. Alternatively, once finishing Route 1, make a sharp right to go through 2, and then go through Lap 3. These are just my thoughts, Vancouver’s not as hard to figure out, though Athens and Cove are not easy!

It would make more sense for Los Angeles Laps' order to be 1, 3, 2, so all roads would be used and there wouldn't be a long straight line near the end. The prediction matching up with the order the variants were released in is only a coincidence.

Great predictions overall! This might be a bit of a hot take, but I’m just not really a fan of PPC3 as the final lap, even though every prediction video I’ve seen has it in that spot. Imo it feels a bit anticlimactic compared to PPC2 (or even 1, but 1 is most likely gonna be first).

This rule might be broken, but every route-changing course with all laps starting/ending in the same direction have been in order of variants. I don't agree with Piranha Plant cove 1 and 2 being more climactic, but that's only an opinion. Piranha Plant Cove 2 as the final lap is especially anticlimactic because it would end with dodging or tricking off of some Clampies, assuming they're kept, compared to the cave with a Maw-Ray before an off-road shortcut.

For VV, they could also simply split your Lap 2, into two sections, like Singapore Speedway, where "Lap 3" could start in the ice rink area.

My predictions for these cities are.... Vancouver Velocity, VV Lap 1 is VV1 Lap 2 is VV3 and then VV1R Lap 3 is VV2 LA laps, LAL and Athens Dash, AD. Both are the same as your predictions. Piranha plant cove, PPC Lap 1 is PPC1 Lap 2 is PPC3 Lap 3 is PPC2.
