Always nice to hear a short lecture from a pro rather than surfing the net for info; Thank you. Taking it for five days after yellow jacket stings with bad reactions. Sad that the euphoria will only last five days: I thought I was just in a better mood after putting the bee stings a day behind me. Blood sugar went up 50 pts, blood pressure up 35 pts., not looking forward to any weight gain.

So.. My provider is 100% against taking this more than 4 times a year. We have discussed the relative side effects and possible ailments incurred.. however from a patient POV.. this is like the greatest thing since sliced bread!!!! My back... My knee... My shoulder... My hips! I don't think about these daily aches and pains when I take Prednisone! Me being a 54 year old man.. worked hard all of my Life... and I have had pain meds.. but I feel so much better with this! Not promoting... just saying... works for me! Thank You ❤

You have no idea what prednisone does to your brain and to your bones prednisone is the worst drug next to opiates. It destroyed my family my husband will never be the same all from prednisone

My dermatologist prescribed it for 15 days for a serious allergic reaction on the skin of my face. It was amazing. It cleared up my skin and it looks better than it has in years. The arthritic pain in my knees and neck disappeared, the bruised Achilles heel pain reduced by 95%, the bleeding in my gums disappeared and since taking prednisone, my 20 year acid reflux has gone. I really enjoyed the temporary mood and energy boost for the first several days (though sleeping was not easy). The only unpleasant side effect was cramping, but that disappeared 10 days after I stopped the drug. I don't doubt that if used for a long time it would be a big problem, but in my case it has been very beneficial. And a big surprise.

i got prescribed this today bc i broke out with a rash/blisters on my palms and on my soles and the itching has been unbearable, i pray this stuff works as good as you claim. i reacted to something and have no clue what

@@zReanimation clearly people have different reactions to it. I wish you the best of luck with your condition. I do not know what caused my allergic reaction, either. Neither does my dermatologist. But this is not the only weird skin problem I have had of late. All after taking the Covid vaccine again, good luck.

@@tumelotshepo i finished my prescribed week dose and it cleared it all up. Only side effect i had was like a rapid heart rate only bc sometimes i took it too late in the evening. Other than that I’m perfectly fine

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer three years ago . I began getting Opdivo infusions " immunotherapy " which supposedly supercharge s the immune system to attack cancer . But it has side effects . One is terrible skin rash . My oncologist had mentioned in the past that another Dr prescribed predisone to one of his patients and it negated immunotherapy efforts . He told me since I am nearly three years in and NED . One week of prednisone ,then a Dr visit and a,months one a PET scan . It's a balancing act so it seems . He warned me that by taking Predisone that restarting immunotherapy . That cancer can come raging back and immunotherapy might not work again . Immunotherapy data is still coming in and I am a guinea pig . My firm of Stage 4 Melanoma and three brain tumors . Accordingly I should have been long gone . But We are taking the chance .

Doctor has been giving prednisone to my husband for over 12 years. Yup 12 years. My husband got a kidney transplant and it’s having a great toll on my family has been split broken up because my husband is deteriorating from the inside out from prednisone, he’s not the same person and the doctor will not ween him off. My husband feels prednisone is a steroid so he thinks it gives him stamina so he’s not fighting to get off, so yeah, that’s my story. I figured I’d share on how I feel about prednisone is ruined my families life.

I think this goes hand and hand with the insomnia and why you would take it in the morning. I’ve been taking prednisone on and off most of my life, yes your heart beat will increase.

I was prescribed this for a sinus infection. It’s day 5 and I really hope these side effects do not last too long. My blood pressure is elevated to 122 on this and it just does not feel fun. I tried calling the ent doctor to see if their is anything I can do to help myself. I’m waiting for a call back.

I’m on a 60 mg, 10 day course for sensorineural hearing loss. The jitters and tremors have exacerbated my anxiety and been very uncomfortable. Just trying to wait it out as this is the best chance I have of getting my hearing back

Hi madam im from india.my mother used predinisone last 2 year.she tapered predinisone 60 mg - 50mg - 40mg -30mg -20 mg-10 mg-5 mg and stopped .now she was suffering night time mild fever at 99 to 100 ° 8 pm to 11.30 pm time.Complete blood count,omicron,dengue,covid all negative.Bood culture and blood spear are normal.is it the withdrawal symptoms?

I can only speak for my own experiences I’m not a dr. But I’ve been on this medication on and off for about 15 years. My rheumatologist usually lowers the increments by 5 mg a every week or few days. I wouldn’t suggest self diagnosing tho. If you go to a dr ask for a shot of prednisone in the shoulder and you should feel immediate relief within an hour..

My grandma just told me someone the family knew a while ago her kids called us freaking out cause she was trying to transparently go through the wall somehow is all they said, then my grandpa told her to stop taking it and she’s better now but yeah I guess if you’re not mentally well it can enhance said “experience” 😮

Update. So it turns out that there is no "tapering" off period when its prescribed for 10 days.its considered a "burst" and shouldnt require a tapering off.
