We married at 21 & 22 years old. We're now 25 & 26 years old. We've already bought our first house & we've been financially good for a few years now... but we just started trying to conceive this year 😊 Still no luck... so throw me some baby dust! 👶🥰 But let me tell you.... its SO much more exciting when you're mentally ready for a baby. Even though we've been extremely careful at preventing pregnancy in the past... I still always imagined I'd accidentally get pregnant & that terrified me tbh... Mmm not sure I agree that pregnant women need to not complain about that they are going through whether it be pain, happiness or emotional exhaustion. Women need to remember that they are entitled to feel what they are feeling no matter what someone else is going through. People are so hyper sensitive about what they are going through that it’s projected onto other women. Feel your feelings and feel what you are going through, it’s okay! just know that someone else’s situation is their own. People/women need to recognize that.

This!! We didn't actually choose to be the sex that carries children, so it's not really fair to say that just because we chose to have children we shouldn't express pain and trauma around pregnancy. Men don't have to make that choice to have kids. We can simultaneously be glad for the chance to make our own reproductive choices and experience pregnancy and also have complex feelings around it. Of course be sensitive when you don't know someone else's history around pregnancy, but it's upsetting to feel like gratitude is the tax we pay on the basic right to freely choose to be pregnant.

On the topic of body hair, making my own sugar paste at home made things so much simpler and easier. There are good recipes on youtube to follow. You only need one cup of sugar, 2tbsp of lemon juice, 4 tbsp of water and a tsp of salt. It's quick to make, easy to use once you get used to it, it is more painful than shaving, but the hairs seem to grow back less and less with time, and overall you need to do it way less times. No itching at all... ingrown hair can happen, but I feel like it happens less so than after shaving. It is pretty much free, all natural ingredients, dissolves in water... I even did it in late pregnancy. I love it so much and had to share. Affordable, natural, efficient, lasts longer, and reduces hair growth.

I disagree. I think sleep when the baby sleeps is helpful and doable if you're a first time SAHM. It helped me recognize just how much sleep I actually as a first time mom, and that I NEEDED naps in the first 3 months of the baby's life. Honestly though, sleeping when the baby sleeps in general is not very practical for those with multiple kids unless u have a sitter/nanny. Also preparing food ahead of time allows for you to eat when the baby is eating, and you can have people bring food to you.

I definitely napped once a day with each of my babies. My naps were short….maybe 20 minutes, with toddlers in my nest (the nook behind my curled up knees on the couch), so I could feel them if they got up. I had special toys tucked away just for nap time, so that my older kids had something to occupy them. With our last babe, our kids were old enough to watch an episode of something while I quickly checked my eyelids for cracks. That being said, all the other baby napping time was spent with kids and taking care of other tasks. I breastfed each baby for a couple of years, and was up with them at night (no sleep training), so this is how I could be the best me. Just some insight for anyone who might be looking for this type of info. You look lovely Delilah, and I can totally relate to the boost in confidence that comes from pregnancy

I hated all my pregnancies but I'm still grateful that my body was able to grow my beautiful girls. Also, my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage which added additional anxiety to my full term pregnancies.

Yessss the kissing thing! I see my partner around two days a week but sometimes I can’t kiss him, because of the smell. It’s so confusing because I want to kiss him but when he’s close I really don’t want to kiss him anymore. It was worst in the first trimester, especially if he had had a beer somewhere in the last hours (could’ve been the evening before even). So relatable, thanks for sharing.

I lost my mucus plug at 37 weeks with both of my pregnancies so far, got induced at 40 weeks with my first and went into labor at 40 and 6 with my second. I guess I just lose it really early 🤷♀️

@@hebebebe139 I hear it's super common! I was traveling when I lost it and wasn't flying back for a few more days and called my mom crying because I was afraid of going into labor on my trip. Probably shouldn't have been flying at 37 weeks but..... you live and you learn haha

@@hebebebe139 That sounds awful! My midwife told me from 37 weeks on that I'd most likely have my baby that week, I didn't go into labor until almost 41 weeks and it was the longest 5 weeks of my life 😩

I hate being pregnant. I have a diastasis so my abs are on fire, which make my back hurt more, my ribs throb, my RLS keeps me up at night, I'm experiencing intense mood swings and depression and this little boy kicks me in the ribs so hard it makes me keel over. I feel like it's important to share this because women are made to believe that pregnancy is a blissful experience and it can be the opposite. Only 2.5 months to go

This is an old video, but I just had to comment. The I feel more confident when I'm pregnant part! 100 %! I've never felt as beautiful as now during pregnancy. And for the first time in my Life, I don't care If other people find me attractive

Love this - I’m pregnant with nr 2 and feel you on several things here 😂 BUT how do you deal with having sex when your libido is down? With everything being more sensitive down there and life being more busy, I just cant get in the mood mentally and physically is just uncomfortable...

I had the opposite problem. I was RARING to go my entire pregnancy and my husband didn't want to have sex for MONTHS. 😅

Having just had my second baby, I totally get this. My approach was that intimacy was important for my marriage and relationship so if I wasn’t in the mood, I just focused on his pleasure (aka just give a blow or hand job 🤷🏻♀️). Sometimes just the act would get me in the mood, but sometimes it was just about doing something for my husband without expecting or wanting anything for myself.

My second pregnancy is 100% different. I never spotted and never had breast soreness. I started to have nipple tenderness later in the pregnancy (followed up with leaking milk?!) but that's it. My first trimester made me basically bed ridden, I was so miserable. Luckily, I have a great partner and his family to help with the baby so I could rest when needed. As soon as second trimester hit, I felt like a different women soooooo much better compared to the 1st trimester. I'm very grateful to have another child, but this pregnancy been really hard on me. I can't wait to meet the little one, will be worth everything.

I had an episiotomy and my first poop was ok. I guess my body felt the pain could not be any worse than labour or the cut or the stiches.

I had the exact same thing. I had 2 vaginal births before and it was wonderful. So, about 3 weeks before my due date I woke up to a blood covered bed. As my son was coming down, the placenta broke. They rushed me for a C section. I was given a ultra sound every week. My doc was watching closely but it didn't make any difference. My son was born healthy 6lbs 9ozs.

I'm glad that you touched on non sexual intimacy. I think if nonsexual intimacy is harder, then sex is also harder because it's harder to get into the mood if you're not casually intimate as much. Nonsexual intimacy that I really enjoy and that is even practical during pregnancy is showering together and your partner helping you lather up with soap, cause you don't have to try to get your legs and bend .... only works in a big shower tho, cause the belly is like a whole extra person.

I was diagnosed with marginal placenta previa at my 20 week scan. No spotting or history of spotting. I was asked to abstain from sex for the rest of my pregnancy by both my obgyn and neonatologist. I was also asked to stop walking ☹️and given bed rest exercises.
