thanks lfg for explanation of spotteds, i dont have them and always wondered what the differences were other that than the jaw. Distinct striations below the mid- line, I have never had seen anyone hold one to where I could see that well. Thanks LFG. I dont think they are in the La lakes I fish.

The way that small smallmouth was fighting reminds me of the trip i took to maine. I had a 6' 6" medium action rod, 12lb test line, and chatterbaits were killing em. 4 lb fish all day long bringing my equipment to the breaking point. I only had 1 break me off but every catch was a close call. Rod bent completely over peeling drag.
