@@TheActualJakIsHere I'm not sure honestly. I hate them all. I know a lot of places have antivenom now. So if you get bit it's not as life threatening. But I know someone who got bit by a venomous snake and ended up developing a infection on their hand and had to have it amputated. The only ones I don't mind are black snakes and racer snakes. They are more scared of us and will run.

I'm in Arizona and Arizona is home to the most varieties of rattlesnakes in the United States.... 13-14 different vatieties! All deadly..... Some more than others. When the neurotrophic component is there, your body doesn't get the messages from your brain; it stops your muscles and you die of asphyxiation because your diaphragm can't move; lungs don't work. A horrible way to die. Be careful out there, Jay! Danger, danger, danger!

1979, Fort Hood, Texas. We were on a field exercise with the Army, and encountered a clearing in the scrub oak. The place reeked of asparagus odor, and in the fading light we saw that the branches on the ground were in fact Copperheads. We had found a huge hibernaculum, and many of the snakes were basking in the warmth of the rocks. Slow and steady, we backed out of the clearing. Torpor was the only thing between us and getting bit!

Being a Texas girl… she soon to be 65… rattle snakes are not recommended as play toys. Love your videos, I’m terrified of snakes. Though gardening I’m learning the good ones to keep. But diamond backs and rattle snakes die at my property. I have 9 young grandchildren. We didn’t use to have very many our neighbor hood was out away from the city so they had plenty of space. But the city is now rushing our way and driving the snakes this way. We use sulfur on our yard to keep chiggers away. Turns out it deters snakes. Worth every penny. Anyway I tell you this because I recently came across your channel. And I’m loving the chance to learn from you.
