You can also just open the _Windows_ tab in the top bar, then click _Essential Sound_ so the Essential Sound window shows, then select all the tracks you want to normalize, go to _preset_ -> _dialogue_ -> _standard_ and then in the _intensity_ sub-category select _match automatically_ - could be named something else, it's in German for me, so I had to translate it. Easy as that and you've automatically equalized every single track at the same time.

Shouldn´t average audio be around -12?
@atlasmoon54975 жыл бұрын
usually yes but I heard that for youtube it's usually a good idea to go as loud as you can without clipping or distorting audio to accommodate a big range of devices

For tracking, input volume should max at -12 ...basically the equivalent of analog 0. Mix output (which is basically what this video is talking about) just needs to be below digital 0db output... essentially it just has to not clip the signal. This is at least my current understanding of it.

@edwincarrasquillo48665 жыл бұрын
Aye so do I normalize max peek to -12 then normalize all peeks to -8??
@Affax4 жыл бұрын
This is correct, however, you should peak it at 0, as there are many devices that watch your videos. On some of them, audio playback isn't good and it helps a lot if the audio is loud. You can always adjust the volume yourself. Most good KZbinrs actually peek their audio at 0 and that's why most videos are at the same volume level.
@blackridgeproductions27384 жыл бұрын
@@edwincarrasquillo4866 No. Averages around -12 (so dialogue) most things are to preference after you get your dialogue at that average and then normally MAX peaks (so the loudest sounds in your film) are at -8 or -6. I can double check with my sound friends but thats a good rule. UNLESS you are putting content on the WEB then u can have your peaks at 0 and adjust everything else to that if that makes sense?

On Avid Media Composer I could use an audio calibration tone so I could adjust the sound on the computer to a level that's comfortable to the ear. After I could start editing the sound and I'd know when the sound is too low or too high, just by listening, learning where I have to change the gain in the program. Is there anything of this sort on Premiere Pro? Couldn't find it. I find this too really helpful because I don't like only trusting my eyes.

What about music? Not background music but music like in a music video? If it hits the very low red at the loudest parts of the song is that ok or will that create distortion?
