Since I'm technologically slow I'm finding the app difficult to navigate since some features only show up when the mower is out of the charger. It's been a bit frustrating setting mine up but I'm getting there. My lawn is a ridiculous shape so I will be really impressed if the mower cuts it all properly 24/7. Time will tell.

@@Premier_lawns_official Yes, that definitely seems to be the case. I'm having to edit the mow zone on the lawn and there's only one spot where it refuses to follow what was mapped. It is where there is a corner of the house and the mower insists on taking the corner too tight and hitting the corner so I've put a plant pot there to force it to avoid that spot - it's literally 3-4 feet which it can't 'see' properly. I'll keep going, lol

Great job for elderly folk who aren't physically fit to mow their lawns anymore. Interesting video.

I’ll be keeping the Flymo and Atco both well serviced The visual quality of the cut seems awful if not barely existent maybe it’s the video I can see one advantage and that’s being able to keep the lawn trimmed every other day so the Atco doesn’t take too much off in one go at the weekend but I suspect it can’t even mow as low as the Flymo I use for that purpose now

To be fair that 'test area' is awful - the grass was like tall rough field grass and it was patchy as hell. On a normal lawn the YUKA will cut very low - I've been setting mine up this weekend and I had it set on 2 out of 9 (with 9 being the longest cut) and it's a bit too short. Normally I use a manual lawnmower on the lowest cut but number 2 was even lower than that. It's working through the first cut and doing a good job although it wouldn't go back to automatically charge so I will have to rectify that problem once it's fully charged. So far so good.

So is it worth the hype?

You tell me? We tried to show a good test, it mowed the orchard under the trees, robots are;t meant to be great as they tend to loose signal We put it in the test patch and it cut some pretty long grass, took a few goes but it was quite long

@Premier_lawns_official I just wondered what if any the downsides were. It seemed to cope with what you put in front of it.

@@grahammacklam4736 I have been following mammotion since their kick starter program, a few years ago now. There first robot the luba was pretty good, then they brought out the luba 2 and that thing is a beast The Yuka is meant to be better under tree cover and I needed a mower for the orchard... I think in the next few years as the tech comes down in price, there will be a lot more robots about. Espcailly in bigger lawns. It's even now kind of a no brainer, unless you like cutting the lawn and have the time to do so.

@Premier_lawns_official it seems to have come down a bit already. The 1500m2 is £1500. Not long ago I think they were over 2000. I think in a few years I may even ditch the allett for one. Done the stripes thing 😁

I’ve also got it. I’m finding that using it every other day it’s doing a lovely cut. Unfortunately I don’t think I can upload you a photo on here. It has its faults though, I’m having issues trying to get it to automatically go up by the side of my house to the front garden. It’s a small passage way with a 45 degree turn. I’m probably going to have to trim some bushes and when I can mount the rtk to my roof.

@@michaelrigg-it1bw some robots go in all directions and take a while to cover the lawn, this one has lots of options, we had it on a setting to go up and down with a bit of an overlap
