Funny part about the word merkin is that that's also where the term Beaver comes from because the wigs the women had to wear were made from beaver pelts. I just put a lithium ion 36 V 20 amp our battery into my new to me razor MX 650, I’m a pretty lightweight adult seeing as I have cancer, I weigh about 140. And I’m consistently getting 18 mph on a full charge With no modifications to sprockets, but sprockets are my next modifications. However, I did have a question. Could I effectively run two 36 V 20 amp hour lithium ion batteries in series to get to a justifiable 72 V for 20 amp hours? On a motor and controller that would accept 72 V?

How many 36v batteries do you have ? You need to consider amps as well.

I’m just trying to do this as cost-effective as possible and I don’t see any 72 V batteries costing less than $450 on top of whatever controller and motor I go with that that’s the reason why I was curious if I could run the 2x 36 V batteries. Instead of having to buy a stand alone 72v.

You can. But what are the amps (not amp hours) on each 36v battery? I’d imagine they aren’t very powerful. So if you did do this you would have 72v but not much power if that makes sense

@@VoltronWatts So if I went with the 630mm, could I slide the forks up 1” and go with a smaller front wheel to lower the front back down. I can’t tell if the 630mm Ride or Die forks have room to slide up in the triple clamp.

@dana2750 ride or die does have a fork rube that is consistent all the way from top to bottom So you could slide the tubes up and still get a good bite on the tubes from the triple clamps 🤙
