Sir, nowadays petrol is mixed with ethylene. I have a Forester which is not happy with the blend. But when Additive is mixed with fuel, the engine runs smoothly. I think old cars are not equipped to absorb the ethylene effect. Please reply.
@MashofreaksAuto24 күн бұрын
Thanks for raising this point here, I probably will cover this in detail in a separate video. You are right, the ethanol blending is not good for old cars. One of the ways to mitigate is ensure that not more than 10% of ethanol. If it is 20% then it is a sort of disaster with older cars. The issue with Ethanol is, it releases water over a period of time and also leads to poor mileage and possibly many parts to malfunction. Honestly, ethanol is not good for any car in a longer period of time even if it is new and tagged with compliance. Here GOVT has to think before making any such policy in sync with the car manufacturer and then the car manufacturer broadcasts an advisory irrespective of how old the vehicle is. IRONICALLY, who cares about all this in INDIA. CONSUMERS must not be ignored.

Sir what should be the tyre pressure in jimny after upgrading the tyres to 215/75 r15 ?
@MashofreaksAuto24 күн бұрын
Ideally, the tyre manufacturer should tell you this based on rubber used in new tyres and the recommended tyre pressure in stock. You may increase it by a maximum of 1 point, do not go beyond otherwise you will see a stiffer ride.

You can go with what I said and there is another option to speak with their helpline and they must assist you for this in case you want to be doubly sure. Is it AT or AT2?

बहुत ही बढ़िया जानकारी ! मैं अपनी venue IMT मैं BPCL का speed petrol डालता था । अब तो इसे बेच दिया और अब jimny में simple petrol ही डालूँगा ।

Yes, after a couple of refills you get to know, it is not a major issue in Himachal Pradesh but there are few which we should identify and must be avoided.

Sure, I will start making small videos on each of these. Thanks for advise 😊👍🙏

Sir, what about cleaning properties of premium fuel and smoothness in the engine running. Also I have noticed jimny gives low mileage when I use premium fuel.
@MashofreaksAuto25 күн бұрын
Well, good question. You asked the question and also gave an answer as well. Let me try to explain it. As I said in the video, premium is a high octane petrol. Can you please which octane petrol do you fill? Low octane does not mean it has dirt and high octane does not mean it is cleaner but the high octane is more inflammable, right? Which also means it needs more oxygen which also means highly compressed oxygen, right? But your car engine compression power is lesser which yields to low fuel efficiency due to weaker combustion for high octane fuel and fuel goes waste. Hope, this explains?

I use XP95 on and of in my 2005 gypsy king mpfi. which I drive regularly and do long distances too. XP95 gives me a better milage and have clocked close to 16kmpl on a highway at 80kmph running. Also the acceleration improves and the engine runs smoother.
