Awesome video!❤❤❤ I’m so glad you pointed out the ‘Tom Ford’ and ‘Louis Vuitton’ (let’s not forget ‘Chanel’ and ‘Gucci’) books that tend to be the staple for many “luxury” and “chic” interior designs.. at least in a lot of the videos I’ve watched on KZbin.. Unfortunately, those designer books don’t come across as chic nor glamorous, it really screams stylelessness, inelegance, and pretentiousness - regardless of the home they’re (from multimillion dollar homes to apartments).. When I see any one of those books, I think: “Did the designer have any meaningful impact in that person’s life?” Or, “What inspiration did the person get from the book?” Replace to designer books with Architectural Design magazines instead.. Yassss and yeah I put the channel and Gucci in the clip too! I am so glad you said this because it is a total ick for me. I hate it and I see it in a lot of videos unfortunately (a lot of us 🤚🏽) our people think that their space is luxury and I’m thinking that’s so corny and copycat! You will never see those in real luxury homes. I get magazines I was planning to do a video about it. And how you can use books from thrift stores and make them personal to you. I really can’t stand it uuugh 😫

Also collect African American books, craft books,interior design books. A good balance. It’s important for people to put into their homes what THEY love and enjoy. We are such a throwaway culture and therefore need cheaper things which aren’t made in the USA. People used to keep furniture, solid wood etc , for 10-15-20 years and now we want new furniture every couple years. Yes USA manufacturing is pricey and I love your tips of buying preowned . If we get out of the mindset of needing to change things so often , we won’t need to buy so often. Our own unnecessary spending will bite us in the butt once crazy man gets ramped up .

Yes! It’s definitely something to keep in mind! Businesses have already started adjusting right after the election, so most people won’t notice it at first. But it’s crazy that we use so many other countries as crutches

People truly don’t understand how this trickles down. I love decor as much as next person, which is why I have been collecting the decor I love furniture wise over last 6 years, and am so glad I did ,it's all classic ,won't go outta style. I have been collecting textiles I live, we remodeled our home in 2019 and nothing trendy, I can do trendy ,at Walmart to add which I probably won't, I like timeless,neutral and I can add color with throws and pillows and pillow covers, I am so happy I did all of that because buying food, and clothing and paying our bills.. I absolutely agree with the 2nd hand finds ,get the best stuff ,also made r3al and better than the crap they make now, also starting to wear real linen clothes and 100% organic cotton if possible , safer and very good vibrational for our bodies, and not all these fake plastic fabrics that don't let our skin breather and I say the same for furniture. I also got linen curtains, love them and never go outta style, trying to lessen ,LED lighting and ,it's very NOT HEALTHY. We have so much stuff in 2nd hand stores or people getting rid of ,and maybe with a little bit of work we can have a beautiful home, clothing, Lighting really is important ,cause LED is not healthy for us or our eyes! Happy decor!!
