I used to be able to see Ben Lomond from our front garden or bedroom window. And I'm ashamed to say that in over 20 years, I never bothered to climb it. I also swam across to Inch Island as a 11 year old and camped there. Great video as usual Murray and a very impressive 360 from Gerry. Slightly intrigued as to why you describe it as Scotland's busiest peak though Murray?

Ahhh kayaks on Loch Lomond. I see the banter's kicking up already..."Not our final destination..." haha! Yeah I hope not, then what would happen with us not getting any more great vids? OMG at 5:43 the view, a green, blue, grey explosion. You weren't kidding about the skies being on fire at 6:21, my gosh. Okay, mentioning having 3 jackets on, and that it's freezing, you're basically just rubbing it in at this point to us poor Texans lol! Yay for Gerry using a tent after such a long time, but it stinks that he didn't sleep well, especially since his clothes were damp. The absolute worst. You mentioned having whisky so of course the all important question is what kind? The view at 10:13, kinda speechless with those clouds among the peaks. How much do we owe Gerry for sharing his wealth of information? I feel like I should send in a payment! Incredible that you had the summit to yourselves and whaaat, no wee demons?? Will wonders never cease? "Back into seaman..." "Cut, this is a children's program..." I AM DYING LAUGHING, MURRAY. I was a seaman before I became a hospital corpsman when I was in the Navy, so I love this 😂Agree with y'all that the inky black water was lovely. It's great when the water is clear and you can see either rocks or vegetation below, but this is another kind of beauty. And you got in the water?! We'll all have to make a note of this. Incredible vid with stunning drone footage, thanks so much, and please tell Gerry the same! 👋

Brings back fond memories from 12 yrs ago. Walked up the main route to the summit and returned on the Ptarmigan path. I recall 4in icicles near the pearly gates but I had a beautiful clear day. Only one elderly gent beat me to the top - otherwise no people (it was mid-week). Thanks for sharing.

So good. You both certainly offer variance in your videos. From jangly kit with ropes to kiaks to remote island adventures to high peaks in Switzerland. Great footage again. This was one of my first Munro climbs and you are correct in winter it can be challenging. I summited and then found out the top was hard ice snow. No crampons or ice axe. Needless to say they were on my Christmas list a month later. In 1993. All down to experience. You learn by your mistakes right enough. Look forward to your next outing.
