Another great vid Chris and Will. So glad you took the plunge on the Brush Demon. Such a great blade. One more I would recommend to test if you can find one is the BK-20 Bundok Bowie. That would be the BK-9's bigger, badder brother. Awesome potential there. I have one I have not yet had the chance to beat up, but it looks impressive.

Great video Chris :) Btw, since you have designed several great knives already, i had a thought... Maybe you should sit down with someone and design a tomahawk or five ;) Qualities you like in a Tomahawk. The head/blade design will of course vary the most usually. But you have to factor in Handle sizes, weight, materials overall... You did help Schrade improve that scax a few years back... Just a thought...

Hi Chris. Is there any chance you would be making a versus video between the cold steel jungle machete and the new schrade schmbs priscilla? That would be a really interesting comparison since both look to be the same in profile and in their dimensions. Both are light choppers and agile budget blades, perhaps competing for the same market niche? Thanks for your videos. I've found them to be both interesting and educating. Keep them coming and more power to you.
@preparedmind1018 жыл бұрын
I think the SCHMBS would kill it against wood, since the Jungle is a standard machete. Always wanted that one, never got it. Got the All Terrain Chopper today.
@NiceJrParena8 жыл бұрын
PREPAREDMIND101 Been doing some viewing on the jungle machete and saw an older vid where brother tac proclaimed it the winner on his large machete shootout, but only after taking back the win from the kershaw camp 18 with a cracked blade. He tested the priscilla on a newer vid and liked it a lot, same as you. Will have a lookout on your test of the all terrain chopper. Maybe in part 6 of this series? Thanks again.

PREPAREDMIND101 ahhhhhhhhh because of those guys, i love axes but they ain't worth their weight when it comes to clearing brush or anything hanging or bouncy
@mbm23558 жыл бұрын
Bahahaha.. this is the correct answer. Although, talk to Mike.. he may tell you the Senegal could fill that role.
@mordyfisher42698 жыл бұрын
I have a two pound machete that's on par with a 2 pound hatchet so I was thinking a three or four pound machete could be on par with a three or four pound axe, i guess the main problem is that the long axe handle gives alot of leverage
@mbm23558 жыл бұрын
Yea, axes sink deep, plain and simple. A blade like the Senegal could come close, but they are two different tools for two different techniques.

Hey man, I was trying to wrap my BK7 with Wilson comfort wrap...not as simple as I thought it was going to be. Any suggestion son making a solid wrap?
@preparedmind1018 жыл бұрын
Cut about 1/3 off the untapped end. Cut that tiny sliver off the tapered end that doesn't have adhesive on it. Put the end you cut at the top of the handle and hold it in place with your thumb. Stretch tight and slowly wrap the handle. Make sure you bought the thin stuff...not that thick wrap.

You need to go to what you call "the 3rd rail" and explain why anyone would ever use a 2lb 15" knife for chopping wood when you can carry a two handed ax for the same weight. Chopping Hardwood: I've chopped down some pretty large standing trees with a good axe almost as fast as my friend with the chainsaw working across the lot (he had to gas, prime, start, re-start, etc). Clearing Brush: In the jungle or thick brush a thin, flexible genuine South American style machete is the superior tool, you can swing it for hours because it's not too heavy, and they have 26" blades to cut lots of brush at once. I've cleared acres of Scotch Broom and chapparel and the 12" Blackie Collins machete was useless. The el-cheapo imported machete with the flexy blade was far superior. The mountain men of old who went in the north woods always took an axe. You can make a little lean-to with your zombie knife, you can make a trapper's cabin with a decent axe.
@preparedmind1018 жыл бұрын
+ricwoz You axe people kill me. You just CANNOT HAVE FUN. It's like you all have an axe handle up your ass or something. Carry yourself over to Wranglerstars channel so you can be happy. I'm tired of explaining it.
