Really great video. Other videos I've seen say to avoid printing on a flat base at all costs, but you've proved that wrong here. Looks like a much better solution to cut down on supports.

You might consider recessing the bottom of the base a little. A mini with a totally flat base is great if all you ever play on is a totally flat surface. But if you are on a textured mat or terrain that super flat base just makes the mini slide around every time someone bumps the table.

is there a limit to the amount of models i can print in one single print as long as it doesn't surpass the limits of the buildplate?

It kind of depends. the more models on the build plate, or the more surface area being printed, the stronger the vacuum of resin to FEP will be. If your lift speed is too high/fast for the volume, you can end up tearing the model somewhat horizontally which can result in weird, wedge shaped gaps.

I seem to have real trouble with getting miniatures to print with so few supports. My models seem to need to be SURROUNDED in scaffolding just to get a print that doesn't just sit in the vat, let alone one that gets any detail.

I've got some questions, How do you know how big the size of the print is going to be? Is there somewhere to set the scale or is it done in the modeling program itself? Also, can the resin printer use any kind of resin or does it have to be by brand and has to be imported? P.S: se fica dificil responder em ingles, pode responder em portugues. Sou mais comfortavel falando e escrevendo em ingles XD

Hi Sean. In the slider on the right, there is the number of layers and also the printing heigh. In this case, you can see 747 layers and 37.39mm heigh. Yes, this printer can use resin from other brands asswell! :)

@@LootStudios the thing I don't really get is the scale of the sculpt. Say for example, the character has a height of 152 cm irl and I want to print a 1/8 scale statue. The height is going to be about 19-20 cm standing straight, but what if it's in a dynamic pose where he is leaning forward/running etc or in multiple pieces. How would I calculate the size of each piece? Because in my case, I draw a reference image that is about 1/8 of the actual size of the character then import it into Blender to do the sculpting, so is my sculpt technically 1/1 or 1/8 of the size?

@@seanchoy236 In this case I make the right scale while exporting the model, using Zbrush. I always save a file where the character isn't posed yet, so I can use it as a reference of it standing to set the right size for the posed model :)

@@MikeWazowski.2001 on the right menu, bellow the +All button, there is a "edit support" button. Just press it then you can move the supports the way you want :)

My prints are coming out smaller than indicated when using chitubox. If I set a print to be 50x 50 x 50, it'll print at 45x 45x 40, I a Noob, so have no idea why this could happen
