I'm glad you said the part about beginning humbly because that's what I see with a lot of your work--it starts with something simple, a table or a flower or a bird, and by adding stitches and fabric it becomes intricate and beautiful. I am thinking of your library scroll and your garden scroll and your string quilt right now, but there are others. Looking forward to seeing what you create in 2025. Thank you!

Oh my gosh. Your TAST for 2024 is beautiful!! Has Sharon seen it? I followed TAST all last year without stitching anything, but this year I was thinking of just doing a cloth like yours, except it will be a lot less lovely!!

I really like the pouch you made, especially using the long twisted piece to wrap around and close it instead of fiddling with a button. You’ve made it so much more appealing and interesting.

Yes, and it’s much more flexible and will adjust to fit if the pouch is jammed full with of stuff. I make this sort of closure for bags and journal covers quite often

Oh Angela I appreciate your words so much. I think many of us are surrounded by people who don’t “get” us. I am glad you are reclaiming that child like joy in creating. I went to a catholic school in the uk too but more Italian people I have always loved making things and I find that slow stitch and collage so liberating I still quilt and cross stitch but now I bring slow stitching to work on when I travel back and forth to the uk your videos are fantastic and so calming to watch please keep up the amazing art you do it’s just so inspiring thank you again from Angela

So I am looking forward to following along with you next year in your "free-form, do what you feel on Tuesdays" manner. Right now, I am thinking I can pick up the needle with you on Tuesdays. I love all your scrolls. Like you say the more stitches you add, the better they become I'm just working on a Winter scroll with abit if Christmas, it's burgundy, beige, and dark greens, patchwork, sort of vintage looking. It's amazing how much yiu can do in a short time, laying on patchwork pieces and sewing them on. I'm really pleased with them. Love all your projects, you're an inspiration. Merry Christmas to you and your family from the UK. I'm back into crochet too, just simple snowflakes and stars, and fingerless gloves x 3 pairs, and an unfinished scarf, lol.
