Sure, share the prep with us. I used to do that but due to health issues and the financial challenges that have come with them my items in storage have been depleted. But I am very grateful that I had made even modest preparation. At the time it was so comforting to know my little store house was full., If anyone can do even just a little it is so worth it . Blessings.

Storing up extra supplies in Fairbanks and North Pole I thought would have been mandatory. Between the winters and the great alaskan highway you never know so better safe than sorry. There were times in the past where we had to rely on MREs for a week at a time until 'they' could be thru from the south. Your preparations that you are making SomersInAlaska are a very good idea.

I don't know why I love your shopping videos so much. but I do. The first video of yours that I watched was a shopping video. Not sure why it popped up in my recommended videos, but it did. I am so glad that it did. That was last year and I love love love you guys. Stay safe and stocked up. Here in Georgia, we can't get toilet paper or laundry detergent. Go figure. Of course cleaning supplies were the first to go, but I was shocked at laundry detergent and toilet paper. Of course, my supply was running low, and now there isn't any to be found.

I love making sure I have extra on hand just in case. I live in the lower 48 and the city I live in here lately water keeps getting shut off. The water company has to keep replacing the ceramic pipes that break. So every time I go grocery shopping now I buy a case or 2 of water. I have a mini tower forming in my garage. But with me owning a lawn care business I have a tendency to buy up what we need during work season. My house come winter looks like a mini grocery store and I have an i.c.e. corner in my pantry just in case power goes out. I have my portable camp stove in my pantry because twice last year we was without power for a couple days at a time. I like to be over prepared instead of being under prepared

We learned our lesson in 2011 when the airport in Fairbanks was shutdown due to ice. I think seeing how y’all prep would be very interesting.

Great haul. We live in Hawaii and depend on goods coming in from the upper 48 on barges. You need toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, and antibacterial wipes. our stores are wiped out of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, masks, hydrogen peroxide, Clorox and many more things. It's crazy here. Everyone is stocked up on Ramen, spam, rice, tuna, pork and beans, corned beef, chicken noodle soup, and Vienna sausage. Also a lot of cold and flu medicines as well as Tylenol and Advil. You are smart to stock up. The Corona virus is really scaring a lot of people here because we are a tourist destination.

Garbanzo beans........ If you are making a stew or soup that you want to thicken, instead of flour, corn starch, a potato bended or arrow root, put a can of garbanzo beans in a blender and blend until smooth then add to soup. Way healthier and added fiber & nutrition.

The local Albertsons and Smith's stores are under a mile away from my house but l do I have a small stockpile so if I cannot get to the store for a few days there is always something to eat. I have also been doing the curbside pickup at Albertson's since my back has not been feeling very good it is free and they lift all the heavy stuff and load it into my car I'll leave them a five or $6 tip well worth it. I also have a big chest freezer outside on my patio

Nice haul. Nice to see people preparing for their families especially with young children at home. I have considered a Costco membership but since we only have one child ( plus the dog, basically another child ) I can’t decide if it would be cost effective for our family. If we lived in Alaska though I think it might be a must for everyone to buy in bulk to make sure you always have what you need.
