I feel you. Even doing it all myself it’s really adding up. The bright side is we able to build about 5x what we could afford having someone else build.

I agree that the human eye is pretty increible with sighting for straightness and perpendicular, especially when there are existing visual clues to pull off of....just did that with the layout and forms for the walkway to my new shop building that you saw on IG. I was blown away that both sides were within a sixteenth over 36' as I didn't bother to pull out the laser. Enjoying this project you're presenting!

That’s amazing! It’s pretty wild how good our bodies can be at some things. I also imagine that’s a pretty new feeling, given how new our reliance on so much technology is.. at least so much technology that can do things we physically can’t.

Why did you not use the 3,4,5 rule?
@YouCanMakeThisToo Жыл бұрын
It takes extra pins and doesn't verify your other measurements. On small scale stuff I'll just multiply the 3, 4, 5 up to a close dimension and let it rock. On something this important I'd rather just do the math and have that extra check involved and know all the corner pins are right. I actually made an error on my baseline layout that I only caught because I had done the actually corner measure. 3, 4, 5 would've hid it
