Great video, thanks for posting. That rolling technique for turning looks excellent for keeping up the pace.

Swimming over onto your back make you muscles a relief from the swimming. Even if I lose a fraction of second sometimes it is preferable.

I'm training for my ultimate goal, that is to become the first 100 year old in 2071 who can still swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 and run a full marathon in 17hrs or less. All the triathlons I participate in I swim in open water, a lake or the ocean. There are no walls for me to kick and launch myself off of. So why waste energy in something that I will never use?

That's all important for swimming yaa, but this is a video for those "preparing for open water swimming" Theres already a bunch of beginner videos on youtube for that other stuff stuff.

Always a trisuit, no need at all for a wetsuit.

The turn at the bouy, the swinging over onto your back is sooooo tri. A waste of time and send her off well wide of the bouy. How to clear your goggles...c'mon. Just keep swimming.
