"Simon, you saw something in this young apprentice. Thank you for gifting him with your expertise. That's what 'elders' are supposed to; pass it down; hand it over with no threatened ego." Rick: such a positive partner in this work. What you do doesn't go unnoticed. You too are an expert in your field. Do you know how many men HATE to paint? You are not one of those men. You love it. Billy: Leadership with total positive encouragement is just as important as the salaries these men earn. You're a great person. So, friends, never lose a day to give work that is at one's best abilities. Crack on Dudes!

Yanis this is for you young man. I am so proud of you and the progress in your skill set. Johnny Depp said someone handed him the ball of being an actor and he just knew he had to run with it. He realized when someone gives of themselves for the betterment of another and that person takes that kindness and runs with to see where they can go. I see this in you and how hard you work and try and please Billy and Simon with your work. Keep going Yanis!!! And Simon and Billy you two have made a difference in Yanis’ life, you should be proud of his accomplishments and a BIG pat on the back. ❤

Simon has a lot to be proud of in Yanis. The thing about Yanis where he deserves extra credit is that unlike so many folks, he is talented but humble and willing to listen and learn. He is a hard worker and respected everything Simon did for him. His success belongs to him now and my hope is someday he will similarly pass what he is learned from Simon and his own hard work onto another young deserving person.

It is certainly very clear that Simon is an excellent teacher. He not only helped Yanis gain skills, who was a wonderful apprentice, he help viewers better understand the process. He took time to explain things concisely and clearly. As a regular viewer I also know Billy that you are grateful and and blessed with everyone who has loved and supported you. You have shown you are an upstanding man and a dedicated hard worker. This in turn shows that one can also learn and gain skills in all aspects of life. To you all "crack on" and continue on this path, because that's what life is, growing, learning, friendships, kindness, love and dedication. :)

Simon IS an excellent craftsman and a great and patient teacher. But Yanis is a very quick learner and has absorbed the lessons as though born to this work. Billy you are fortunate to have the crew of expert craftsmen that you have on your team. Michael, Rick, Paddy, the electrician: they are all amazing at what they do!

That is what is missing today, craftsmen learning their trade from a master craftsman. That’s the way it used to be a Simon teaching an apprentice like Yannis his trade. Not everyone needs college. That is one thing AI can’t do is plaster a wall, or fix a toilet or put in/fix HVAC. We need more skilled tradesmen like Simon and his apprentice Yannis.

What else would a trade do but pass down the knowledge to an apprentice? It was always thus. Luckily Yanis is a worker and intelligent enough to absorb what he is being taught and learns quickly. It takes a lifetime to learn a trade. Its a constant learning curve for everyone. The ultimate beneficiaries are you wonderful Petherick's; what a superb source of knowledge you have available to you. Well done all of you and so lovely to hear you being so appreciative of the trades. All looking great! thanks for the vlog, a joy.
