It makes me so happy to see ambulances that are safety forward and not overstocked with equipment! Overstocking can damage packaging rendering it unusable and it often goes out of date before you get to use it They're very similar to UK ambulances but moreso German ones. I wouldn't describe an ambulance is looking more "European" because we have so many different ambulances across Europe. Can I suggest you look at some Scandinavian ambulances? Lots of small models but are kitted out the same way as yours.
@suprememax49485 жыл бұрын
Well I guess he meant it's more European looking due to the fact that it is based on a mercedes Sprinter (which the majority of ambulances in European countries are) as opposed to an US' car brand like they were previously (chevy/ford).

A good presentation. The medic is articulate & spared us the usual sales pitch. The rig is so thoughtfully & economically laid out. It looks too small for "present-day Americans" but since there are few compartments forward, there's plenty of interior space but using the wall-mounted Ferno packs. I am a fan of Zoll equipment because it is simple, durable & long-lasting. This ambo optimizes the principle of KISS: Keep It Simple & Safe.

Now THIS is an ambulance. We needed this years ago but one of the reasons manufacturers didn't design it is because many rural systems have extended transports and demanded huge amounts of storage and room for a second litter patient and rescue gear. The mfrs. didn't want to sell several different designs so the Rurals won out and we all had to suffer with a huge box. Glad to see some manufacturers are taking a chance and I hope that services see the benefit of this type of unit so the mfrs. see profit in making them. Great video too.

The nebulizer was my life saver as a kid many times and not just in context but literally saved my life multiple times even at home we had to get one prescribed same with the medication because I had anaphylactic croup that would happen really bad at completely random times even In the night thankfully it's under control now without medication but I did need a nebulizer at home and my mom was trained on how to do it I was going to the hospital so often that I was prescribed a nebulizer for home sometimes depending on how bad the flare up was I either was allowed to go back to sleep or it was to the ER we go. I don't remember much of it I just know it happened because I still have some or the tubing and some masks that I use on my dolls when I play with my younger sister the nebulizer has since gone to my mom's father he of course got his own mouth piece or mask however you want to say it and the medication but the machine itself went to him since he needed it. I'm thankful to still be here even as an older teen and thankful to all first responders even if I never have contact with that particular one I've been helped by a cop and paramedic but never a firefighter so far I probably will at some point in my life need a firefighter but hey let's give a round of applause to our first responders and if you ever see one who isn't busy saving a life a simple thanks does more then enough to brighten their day even a little. SO THANK YOU FIRST RESPONDERS FOR BEING THERE TO HELP WHEN CALLED UPON you have my sincere thanks

A privately-owned service that I worked for while I was in school (the first time) was the among the first services to put the Freightliners in service. This was over a decade ago, so the novelty was a huge factor in why I initially liked these trucks. Prior to the popularization of adding boxes to that chassis, I got a little aggravated with the Freightliner variant because they were SO darn narrow! I wore size 14 uniform boots, so without sitting sideways or in what I refer to as the "I don't feel like interacting with my pt. seat" or the captain's seat, the toes of my boots would get scuffed up every single shift! The proximity of needed supplies was an advantage in my case. With the box, though, it seems like you've got plenty of room to work and have an extra set of hands if needed. Nice truck.
@jrivers00055 жыл бұрын
Yes, 90% of it involves the monitor, some O2, that ever so critical dose of lifesaving normal saline @KVO. The 10% that is blood, guts, the smell of blood, engine coolant, air bag and alcohol, burnt flesh, and bullets... That's the part that will mess you up if you let it. It got me. When I'm done with my Master's degree, I'm going to do a web series on burnout prevention and gain reference material about PTSD to use in my dissertation which will be about fire/EMS induced PTSD.
