I have the same one for 7yrs now. Never had a problem. Glass always stays clean. We love it. I would recommend a straight up chimney for perfect draft and less creosote.

That's cool this is our 3rd winter with it and it works great.
@haywire175 жыл бұрын
Mine too. It's the only wood stove I've ever seen that doesn't soot up the glass. I read the owner's manual when I first bought it, and it said something about an "air wash system that keeps the glass from sooting"...I figured, yeah...right...but I love a glass door, so I bought it anyway...I'm so glad I did. They mean what they say about that "air wash". It directs a stream of air DOWN over the glass from the little holes up there, and the clearance of a "lip" close to the glass... Awesome design! I wish it had grates that dropped the ashes down into the pan automatically, but perhaps then the glass wouldn't stay clean...

We installed the same wood stove this year (our first wood stove) and we LOVE it so far! One of the best things we've done as far as homesteading. You're so correct.....safety and maintenance are VERY important!!

I bought this exact same stove almost 2 years ago and just installed it last week in my New Trailer home. I can't wait to light this bad boy up. People don't understand how important a wood stove is in the winter especially if the grid should ever go down.

what a wonderful kid that gets up and feeds the fire. I love the way your children work along with you. I was single by the time my son was four. His Dad has an addiction problem. My son was always my best helper. I couldn't give him a lot of things but he had all of my love and as much time as was left over from working. He is 36 now and has always had a wonderful work ethic. I believe your children will too. So, great kids you have there. You must be doing something right. lol. Love your fire too. I hope you are very careful and would love to know what you do to keep embers from escaping your chimney. Our beautiful mountains are burning here in Tennessee. I watched and wept while thousands of acres burned in the Smokey Mountains this week. We have also lost Signal Mountain . It has been tragic.

Sorry to hear that with the fires I saw it on the weather channel. My kids are very squared away I am very lucky.

We like ours, it heats wel. The only problem has been the center air tube. If a log bumps it when tossed on the fire, the tube keeps falling out of the hole it rests in. Of course we try not to bump it, but.... sometimes it happens and we can't fix it until the fire dies & things cool. Any suggestions to secure the tube?

I have trouble getting the pull damper to provide enough air to burn the wood. Is the problem to much moisture in wood or the damper which pulls out and in easy
@grandmapatty14938 жыл бұрын
I love that you have a coffee pot on the stove. Hot coffee, tea, and soup are great on a wood burner. It also adds much needed moisture when we get those temps around zero, and your lips and skin dry up. Your view outside is nice too. I love all the pines. I have a gas fireplace, but it just isn't the same as a roaring crackling fire. Now I want some tea.

great review on the stove thanks. but i have been wondering how did you fit a bathroom, living area, and 3 bedrooms in you tiny home ? we have been trying to work on it and have not been able to figure out how to get 3 bedrooms in where everyone has plenty of room, and their own private space. Your room seemed to be a good size when you had done a few videos their. thank you in advance for maybe a video of how you did your layout.

I put one in place of an old worn out 70s era gas funnel stove. After using the funnel stove few months I discover my gas bill doubled and soot was collecting on the ceiling. So out with old and in with the new Being my fist wood stove there I don't know if it's good better or than others but it has paid for its that self first season in reduced heating. Bills. Just me and my ghetto life style.

Good job. I already bought myself a model 2000 for my 560 square feet loft. My Jotul Petite I replaced was beautiful, but I had to load it multiple times in the night. In effect that was not wonderful. It was amusing when you showed up tattooed and uncovered, up close and personal. I just lit my new stove for the first time, I'm already warmer.

Thank you for the review . I just bought mine at tractor supply . They have them right now for 20% off , It was 550 dollars . My house is only 1000 SQ feet and already has the chimney and all that running up through the walls from the previous owner having a woodstove . I'm not sure how much it's going to cost to get a professional in here to inspect and install it .
