1605tanya yep it’s a cat 5 with sustained 180mph winds and gusting at 220+mph. If there’s a direct hit everything is done for. I’m in the direct path for it if it doesn’t turn north.

I’ve read a bit about how barometric pressure changes can have different effects on animal behaviors. It’s interesting to learn about these things so we know what to possibly expect from our pets in mild to severe weather storms and what we can do to keep them safe and desensitize them if needed so their stress levels, etc. aren’t causing them to get to worked up which could lead to possibly injuring themselves/others in with them, escape, etc... I hope it doesn’t get to crazy down there, fingers crossed that all blows over quickly and with little to no damages occurring!

This is legit my worst fear with all my many small exotic pets :( i am always so stressed out an terrified of what I'd do if a natural disaster hit, and was told i must evacuate. Idk how I'd ever fit them all in my car or keep them calm. For fact i am gonna make sure when i get my own place to have bunker for them and all of us for storma an stuff like this.

Kenan went from hey buddy , to hey wtf he got out 😭😭😭 and started chasing the iguana 🦎 in a matter of 2 minutes or less lol . Damn near caught a heart attack , now that was funny lmfao , I’ve never seen a grown men run that fast that’s not playing In any professional sports chasing iguanas ,, that’s gotta be a world record on how fast he caught it . Plus it was in the open in a big yard ! Could’ve gotten away but knowing how smart they are it would’ve came back home after it was done exploring . Even tho during a hurricane it’s the wrong time to play those games . These iguanas are super smart ... 🙏🏼 🤣😭😂😂
