Interesting but if you have a vise, USE IT, for your safety. And yess pulling offers better control on the weight applied AND when the files slips reducing the risk of cutting yourself.

Did you get the skis flat before you did all this edge prep? If so how did you flatten the base?

I checked the bases with a true bar and they were good enough for me. The tip and tail were flat on the base and the rest of the ski was within my .75 base bevel. If it were a race ski I would have gotten it ground flat at a shop to start. Blizzard factory prep is some of the best in the game!

How do you like that thunderbird? I was debating getting that one or the firebird HRC, they seem very similar. Great video!

The thunderbird is good, it came with a 12DIN binding which I swapped with a 14 DIN off my SRC’s. With the 14 they are a great ski. You may want to go with the HRC simply due to the better binding Hope this helps

Which angles do you recomend for good recreational skiers? I have Salomon Smax Blast, with 1/88 angle, do you consider this a good option, or should I go with diferent angles?

I have taken skis right out of the wrapper, no wax no tune, and they have performed great. Shaping and prepping takes a ski that is a 90 and makes it a 100. More importantly however it allows you to properly tune the ski tip to tail and more efficiently for the entire life of the ski.

At the end of the prep video I give em a rip Patryk, I had them out Monday however I was solo and did not get the footage. They are a strong weapon and the heavy angle carving video will be coming out soon
