Simon has a great sense of humor, not sure why hardly anyone was laughing.

29:55 You get to ask any question that you want and then this guy goes: "were you shooting with natural light?" Brilliant!

Well, they look so well lit for some random lights in the stadium you have to work with so I always wonder what kind of sorcery is that too and if they have some imaginary guy with reflector hidden somewhere 😂. I would love to see raw straight from the camera pictures vs edited.

I'm one of those photo guys on your image, in line for the soccer final match at Maracanã. We were there EARLY! At least 5 hours in advance. One thing with Olympics is that if you're not shooting for big agencies you don't get guaranteed seat. Whoever gets there before takes them. Plus moving from several venues 30km apart, that's a nightmare.

Hello from Australia... I covered an Olympic Games, and, yes, believe me, you will have to survive on *_four hours sleep_* per night if you're shooting. But you've got to do it. It's so exciting. The _spirit_ of the occasion is palpable. Human beings are remarkable creatures!

As an amateur photographer who has shot various local wheelchair sports events thank you for including the Paralympics in your presentation.

Simon has a great sense of humour. In the selfie that is shot with all the other photographers at the end he comes across as the life of the party.

Fantastic presentation Photographers have lots of competition for that winning shot. I like how you got creative with this assignment

22:30 -- yes, learn about using *'BACK BUTTON FOCUS'* if you're a Canon shooter getting heavily into sports photography. Do not use the 'half-depress' focus button attached to the shutter button. Separate _focus_ from _shutter._

Great presentation. Wish you did one on the Paralympics as well, as I was a Paralympic photographer, had the time of my life!!

Although I don't plan on any sports photography, I really enjoyed your presentation, Simon. Great presentation........great shots. Can't imagine why anyone would think that it is not a job well done.
This talk was so insightful. Experience of a lifetime.

I can't help but wonder if I was at the same whitewater canoe event as Simon, as I did see that event when I was down there. (My husband and I also had a bit of a precarious time at said venue, as we did not have advance tickets and had no idea if there'd be any there. Luckily there were.)
Great presentation. To and from Rio with all those cases filled with expensive gear. Wondering how you prevented theft when they were not in your care and custody?

Thank you for sharing your Rio experience. It seems like the toughest assignment you'll ever love. Is that a Polaroid SX-70 in your travel kit? What did you shoot with it? Where do you get film?
