God, I love this Van. My parents bought 84 LE shipped from Japan when we were stationed over there. It was passed on to me in 1990...Still dream about that old van...I bought another one in the early 2000's tried to fixed it up. No go there. Wish I was skilled car guy like you. Funny, I would buy another one if I could find one.

The U.K. version was similar but it came with massive corrosion issues & as a result, only about 30 models still exist along with emission laws that makes the engine practically unusable...I had 3 in the 1980’s & they are all washing machines now 🤔🤪😂 in Australia they were calked Tarago, decals in vinyl was very popular back in the day.

I found the Manifold with throttle body with all sensors, Tps sensor and all the rubber hoses for $150. Now it starts and turns on then shuts off. If I put starting fluid in the throttle it will turn on and stay on a bit longer for about 5-10 seconds. What can it be anyone know?

It has to be a fuel problem. I would check the fuel filter and listen for the fuel pump to hear it come on. Also check for timming it could be off.

@@garagetheory7043yes the Fuel Pump is working. I will check the timing, thanks for responding. Also I just found out that the Spark plug wires are backwards. Wire #1 is on the 2nd spark plug and wire #2 is in the first spark plug. I will check that tomorrow to see if it will start up this time with them in the correct position. I also bought a new fuel filter.
