Good job you guys! Hard work always pays off in the end. At least I like to think it does. God bless you both.

Repainting is a good idea, especially getting rid of the red cross to avoid misunderstandings. It may be a good idea to mount an underride barrier at the rear, that can be folded up while off road to protect other vehicles from driving under the back of the Unimog.

Looking sharp! Every time I watch a new video on your channel I start to hunt for Mogs for sale...one day!

I used a Armour liner on my roof of my van and it was horrible. It came out gloppy and uneven...even after several coats. So glad I did the roof first. The body will be done in Raptor liner. Soooo much nicer texture from all that I can see on the Tube. Thanks for posting this...I am an avid watcher. Be Well you two.

Shield! I am working on fixing up an old van for camping/travel. Not nearly as ambitious as what you are doing, though.

When you washed the cub on top, at some point you direct a jet at top of a snorkel, the air intake "chimney". I guarantee there is a water in air intake filter now. Check it out...

Congratulations, I was hoping paint would be in the Mog’s future!

For the spare tire I will recommend an inflatable Bladder/Pillow....Love you guys

As far as the under side of the box could you just paint it the same as the frame? Then you’d only have to be concerned with the match line at the bottom of the walls of the box.

For tire cover, I would suggest you put circular plywood with cross brace underneath to fit inside the rim to keep from sliding around and cover with tire cover. That's way you won't have pool of water.

I'm envious of how well you 2 come across as working so well together. My wife and I would have killed each other if we tried this. That's why I'm doing a complete rebuild/ upgrade on my 35 year old Class A alone. My wife doesn't have Savannahs skills either. I am looking forward to the outcome. If you guys ever find you need a shop to fix something in, give me a shout. I've got a big shop in North Central Texas behind my house you can use part of. Full of tools, too, and the parts store you'll need are in Fort Worth. (25 miles South of me.) Or Dallas is not that far away. Let me know if you're interested and I'll email you my contact info. Would love to show my wife your camper so she'll understand my wanting to build one for us.

Put a partially inflated beach ball in your spare tire to hold the cover up. They are cheap and light weight.

Why did you cut the tail light brackets instead of just unbolting them from the chassis rails?
@OurWayToRoam3 ай бұрын
There are gland hand connector points attached to them that we want to keep. If we unbolted the bracket we'd just need to come up with another way to mount the connectors.
@andrefischer50253 ай бұрын
@@OurWayToRoam are those the trailer brake connectors? If so, have a good look at the air schematic before planning to use them as an “air source”
