I have to say, I didn't completely follow your recipe as I added cinnamon and brown sugar sprinkles to the center and on top of this butter cake. Then I made the glaze and poured it on top and let it sit for just a while. The cake was so incredibly soft, moist and had a slight cinnamon crunch around the edges. I almost cried with every single bite that cake was so freaking delicious!! Thank you so much for this recipe!!! Now it's time to make a the original recipe you've shown here.

Just made it. I have quite a low threshold for sweetness, so I added 300 g instead of 400 of sugar, plus only a little bit of butter-sugar soak, and it was at the upper sugar limit for me, but it was DELICIOUS. I also added about 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds, gives a nice texture and a little bit of additional flavor

Hi Mr. Preppy my mother baked this cake yesterday, it was the most delectable cake I have ever tasted. she made a few changes, 200g of caster and 200g of powder sugar gave the texture of the cake a smoothness that melted in my mouth. for the butter bathe she used red oranges instead of water. I purchased a box cake mix in the supermarket a few days ago. How nasty it was! No flavor, no nothing. The cake came out baked well in terms of the crumb but, it just had no flavor. I just felt lazy, and as the saying goes "the lazy one works double" so true. I am going to try this recipe it looks really yummy. The box cake mix was supposed to taste like butter so it was nice surprise to get this video on my feed.

It looks amazing! John, this cake is also called "basic 1-2-3-4 cake" (minus the buttery glaze). 1 for 1 cup butter, 1 cup milk, and 1 tbsp baking powder 2 for 2 cups of sugar and 2 tsp vanilla 3 for 3 cups of flour 4 for 4 eggs You can also use 3 tbsp cocoa powder to add to half of the mix and make a marble cake.

Whisk: 360 gr flour 3/4 tapi baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt Mixer: 226 gr butter 400 gr sugar slowly add in 4 large egg slowly 1 by 1 Then put in the whisk flour combine with milk 240 ml little by little.. (Don't overMix). Bake in 335 F 1 hour Now make Butter sirup: Using cooking pan with medium heat: 70 gr unsalted butter (5 tbsp) 60 ml water 150 gr sugar Until all melt slight tick, finishing add 1 1/2 tsp vanila and POUR into the cake, wait for 10 minute then pull out the cake out.. Walah delicious..
