Prescott Arizona winters,
what are they like? Snow in the desert!!!??? Prescott sits at mile high in elevation so yes it does get some snow. About 12-13" on average. In this video we'll take you Downtown to the Courthouse Plaza and some of the neighboring hot spots to show you the white stuff! But don't worry, it doesn't last but a couple days and then it's back to sunshine!

I lived in Prescott in 1967 68 it snowed 5 days and nights straight. Had to shovel off the roof if the house and buildings down town some caved in. Lol

Great video! We’ve been considering Prescott a lot! We have four kids and really worry about the rehabs and half way houses there. Not sure it’s a good place to raise kids I hear a lot about people “sticking around” after rehab or leaving rehab altogether and hanging around. This is the only thing that keeps us from there. That along with AZ drought issues. Can’t wait for more info/vids!

@@livinginprescott this is so awesome. We live in the valley and have been wanting to move but that’s the only thing that’s keeps us from making the jump. We’ve even considering Boise because it’s a similar climate and reminds us what Prescott could be in the future. We’d love to stay close enough to family and not have to move out of state. the base of employers in Prescott is limiting...unless of course you want to work in the hospitality or elder care industries. The average age of Prescott is 60+. I'm 65 and find it depressing. It's like an old folks home with 45,000 residents. The food scene is also pretty limiting. Bar food galore. BigA's restaurant is really good and inventive; El Gato is worn out and the rest of the food scene is like the town in general...not very sophisticated. The town is also over run with Trumpers, which is one reason why it's not a very sophisticated scene here.

Winter 2022-23 we have gotten about 4+ feet of snow ….fyi we are about 6 miles south and 1000 ft higher than Prescott .

On Wikipedia it shows ave snow 18.5. The chamber as well. Most years from 1993 until 2010 the area got over 20 inches of snow.

You can never guess how winter will be around here. Winter of 2018-19 was crazy. When I was a kid before the Indian fire, we would get feet of snow down the white spars, but after that fire and the Rodeo-Chedeski fire which burned almost half a million acres, winter here has changed a lot.

My wife and I are praying about moving up here from Tucson. She's born and raised in Tucson and I moved here with my family from NJ about 16 years ago. We went up to Prescott for a wedding last weekend and loved it.

@@livinginprescott average is 18 5 according to the chamber it used to be 2 feet I have one of the old visitors guides. My mom and dad lived there from 1993 to 2011. Most years it was over 20 inches still not bad though
