Here’s another idea for a presser device: 1. Drag a precept from Ableton‘s preset browser to the preset device. 2. The preset device will identify the folder in which that preset exists. Three. The preset device will display the name of the preset you dragged in but allow you to edit it so that you can search in that folder for all presets that match that search. Four. The preset device will load in all of those matching presets and allow you to simply click on an arrow to load the next or previous preset. Five. You can rename a preset, or if you modify it and then save it, the name field will initialize with the name of the preset you modified, incremented by one, and with a pop up asking if you want to overwrite A preset of the same name or not. Thanks.

Would be nice if this device could be used to set time for presets so it could be used to slowly change the parameters.

awesome device! as a gigging musician, it would be sooo cool if it could recall entire set configurations like armed tracks and turning on/off devices inside them, like if one could press a "master preset" for a song in a setlist and just play. dk if I explain myself hehe Some people like the approach of using the instrument rack chain selector for that, and making domi clips, but this device looks much more quick and flexible compared to automating an entire show

There is a device in Live 12 called Variations that allows you to take snapshots of the entire project. It's good for using in a live show. www.ableton.com/en/packs/performance-pack/ The only thing is that presets can't be exported to other projects. That's why I created this one. For studio work, it makes it possible to reload racks and tracks with pre-established presets.

It be great to be able to overwrite a preset and re save it. I cant figure out how to do this without messing up the midi mapping I've done as currently I have to save any changes as a fresh preset and re map
@killihu22 күн бұрын
I'm curious about the reference to MIDI mapping, as preset triggering cannot be mapped.
@Thomas242422 күн бұрын
@killihu you can trigger the presets via a midi channel and notes? I didn't realise that when I deleted a preset it wouldn't condense or change the order of the list but just leave the preset blank so you can re save into. I thought if I had say 3 presets saved and deleted the middle one preset 3 would then become preset 2.
@killihu22 күн бұрын
@@Thomas2424 Ah, ok. These are independent items, not a list. Each preset slot is always controlled by the same MIDI note.

After saving the first present, when I save the next preset, Will the name field initialize with the name of the prior preset And even add and increment a number after the name? I make a ton of presets so this would be a great ease of use capability. Thanks.

its possible to do the fancy menu bars but for the plugin window? the plugin window looks so ugly on windows sometimes
@killihu3 ай бұрын
If you mean the VST plugin window title bar, it is not possible. Fancy Menu Bar has a fixed position on the screen, it does not adjust automatically when the application/plugin window is moved.

the midi mapping of each preset is super cool! could you please add a forward and a backward button (also midi mappable, please :))
@killihu4 ай бұрын
It is not possible to do MIDI Mapping directly on the device. MIDI notes must be sent from a MIDI track or an external controller. The selection of the MIDI input source is shown at the end of the video. I will keep in mind the suggestion of the forward/backward buttons.

@@killihu mmm I’m confused. So it only accepts Midi notes. But I need Midi notes to play my synths. I guess I can get around this by having Midi notes from a specific Midi channel maybe.

just to be clear, I’m just looking for a way to switch presets with 2 physical Midi buttons, previous/next
@killihu4 ай бұрын
@@fumarolas I didn't consider remote switching as you're looking for when designing the device. It has the option to receive MIDI from another track, so session clips from that other track can be used to switch presets. But I think I'll be able to implement two mappable previous/next buttons in the next update.

Lets say I want to save all of Ableton's stock presets for Analog (abletons analog synth) in your Presets Device to easily navigate through them- is this possible? Or do I have to recreate all of them while using your presets device to achieve this😅?
@killihu2 ай бұрын
It is possible. Load a stock preset in Analog and then save it to the device, load another stock preset in Analog and then save it to another slot on the device... You can also leave the Rename button on the device activated to rename the presets as you save them.
