As the last semester of my master's degree draws to a close, I enrolled in a leadership course. During one of the lessons, the instructor mentioned that Obama was a charismatic leader. I watched many of his speeches, but in this particular one, I discovered what made him not only a great US president but also an exceptional leader. I see parallels between his journey and struggles and my own. I aspire to follow in his footsteps and dream of speaking on a stage like his one day. I am aware that this path will be challenging, especially for me as an Afghan, but I believe it is not impossible. It was a truly inspiring speech!

This man, this president, Barack Obama, in my opinion, is the finest American president in my lifetime, in other words, the last 60 years. His ability to move people is stunning. In his eight years in office, he was a beacon of dignity for the world to see. It is tragic to see the state of America under Donald Trump. I believe, though, that Canada’s best friend, America, is resilient and stronger than one bad president. God bless America! They need it now more than ever.

This, your president, is the of the worst wartime men ever who's been president. "A beacon of diginty for the world to see"- only an american states something foolish like that. US have NOT have any great men in the helm for decades. You have gotten fooled by speeches and carisma but greatness? Was he great when invading Libya? Was he great in Iraq? In Afghanistan? How many people have been killed under his so-called greatness? Try asking all the women, children and grandparents who were left without a loved one - or try asking the people of the same countries who he left in ruins. You Americans are so easy to satisfy (I'm assuming your are an American else your rant gives even less meaning) No sir, please do not let your foolish misinterpretation of him get confused with what he essentially was. A disaster and essentially the 2nd longest sitting wartime president ever (only superseded by G.W.B) Only great him about him was his ability to fool his own people in thinking he was great.
@jurisvillaraza5784 жыл бұрын
@@Ehsanmand So you assume that every single president has to solve every single problem during his/her presidency? What a stupid take. Barack Obama may have not done everything you were willing for him to do, but at least he's better than that Trump guy where all he does is sway his hips side to side and is not very convincing because most of the time he claims he's going to do something but ends up not doing. Where is the new healthcare plan that he decided on to replace Obamacare? Why did he pull from the Paris Accord (for no reason as far as I'm concerned)? Why is he trying to repeal healthcare from other people when he's not even going to establish one in time, ESPECIALLY DURING THESE TOUGH TIMES??? Trump makes no sense, his logic cannot be supported by much. He talks the talk, but never walks the walk. Only Trump's biggest supporters and Republican nerds by his side can even dream of refuting arguments and fully explaining things and ACTUALLY DOING THEM like Obama did.

I am deeply ashamed of the last four years, but the days of decency, nobility, and inclusion are returning to office. And for that, not only will America be better, but the whole world.

You cannot understand how much the American middle class has declined since the 2008 crash. Their standard of living is certainly still above Bangladesh's, but where Bangladesh has been rising, the American middle class has been hollowed out completely. In their eyes, he promised much and delivered little. He was, admittedly, always blocked by the opposition to fulfilling even basic reforms. Obama appealed to masses of working people, as did Trump, and Hillary Clinton did not. The story of the 2016 election was not the story of how Trump won, but how Hillary lost. Even though she actually got more votes than Trump, because of the antiquated way their voting districts are divided, Trump won the election.
