Remember when everyone would be able to come into the WH no matter what color or religion they were and be welcomed with grace and class. We had musical events with all genre of music and poets would come from far away to be welcomed by a President & First Lady without judgment or criticism. Little children & old women came to visit the WH and sometimes they got to meet one of them and they were treated like family not aliens or immigrants. God knows that I miss that kind of WH. When my Aunt died 109 years old who taught school for 42 years, being raised in the south where black people could only go to the 8th grade, my great grandfather paid for all 12 of his children to go HS. She went on to college and on to teaching, was 103 years old when she went to vote for President Obama, so he sent a letter of condolences to her family, us, with a proclamation stating that she had done her due diligence in helping teach children for all of those years and never having anyone saying thank you for your service. I was so touched when it came to my family members home. I know that I will always and forever remember that family and those 8 glorious years with them in the WH.
