Yes, I too remember this and some of his other speeches. I was 18 and was enlisting into the Air Force. I miss his leadership qualities and was damn proud to have him as Commander in Chief. RIP Mr. President. I tip my wing to you, sir.

Regan is amazing, he even knows exactly how Libyan people feel toward Qaddafi, I am Libyan and I feel it when he said ( before Qaddafi seized power in 1969 the people of Libya had been friends of the united states, and I am sure that today most Libyans are ashamed and disgusted that this man has made their country a synonym for barbarism, )

I remember listening to this live here in Melbourne, Australia at the time and being in awe of an American President who had the guts to respond decisively to acts of terrorism. Gaddafi, amazingly, is still "peddling his wares" in Libya and must have more lives than a cat. But his day is almost over. As Ghandi said, "In the end they (dictators) always fall. Think of that. Always".

In my opinion President Clinton took too long in quelling Milosevic, and should have acted in Rwanda (which he publicly regretted not doing). In a largely domestically involved decade he did a great job, but his foreign policy and lack of combating terrorism led to some of the international crises that went on and are still going on today

@littlelouie11 Reagan actually used a lot of common sense and compromise, he wouldn't be president today. He was known on Fridays to have a drink and a laugh with Speaker of the House Tip O'Neill (heaven forbid a Dem and a Rep have a moment to chill). He'd be impeached for that now.

gotta be fair. I am against Obama on many fronts, But as far as the war on terrorism goes he has been pretty tight, Reagan was great, but its not fair to call the current president a "piece of crap" on this issue. He makes Reagan look like Carter. Put simply even if u disagree on many issues don't merge that with terrorism response. IMO he has been a bit too aggressive. - Signed- card carrying Republican who smartened up and turned libertarian
