You didn't listen. You have been told about everything that's wrong going on RIGHT. NOW. Have you listened? At least once? Just once I mean. But, worst case scenario there was we'd just have a few years of politicians trying things we didn't like, but nothing too crazy. Now, however, one of the candidates is openly saying they want to terminate the Consitution, change when or if elections happen, and they've stacked the Supreme Court which granted him immunity for any criminal acts he commits while in office while big groups of people who want to enact large-scale cruelty and use governmental violence in order to reverse the entire civil rights movement, ban unions, and abandon most of the fundamental principles that make the USA worth fighting for. They'll still call it the USA, but what's special about the US has never been the patch of dirt its on. It has always been those philosophical principles of aspiring to equality, democracy, checks and balances, no kings, no one above the law, etc. All that kind of stuff simply was not on the table at all prior to Trump. Ngl Trump was lying so damn confidentially that I didn't even think twice when he said, MULTIPLE TIMES, that people were doing abortions after 9 months. It wasn't until I checked Twitter during the ad break and saw "AFTER BIRTH" trending that I was like "...Hey yeah wait---"
@CinnamonQuills4 ай бұрын
@@minki46664 There's no such thing as a "late term abortion" for a baby that could live outside the mother's body. It's not even a valid medical term, it's something that describes an abortion that happens at or after 21 weeks. It's a boogieman myth invented by hysterical anti-choice advocates. There is literally nowhere where a woman can and does get an abortion moments before birth. Abortions that happen later than usual (but STILL NOT UP TO BIRTH) happen for tragic reasons that pretty much always involve birth defects that aren't compatible with life.
@jacobstevens70464 ай бұрын
@@minki46664I can tell you how they're similar. They are both imaginary problems. 98.9% of abortions occur before TWENTY weeks. 93.1% happen before 13 weeks and 80% happen before 9 weeks. Source: The CDC. Can you define a "late-term" abortion? Because late-term abortion is not a medical term. "Late-term" in the medical field refers to woman who remains pregnant past the 'full term" 40 weeks. Do you have any links or sources showing huge amounts of women aborting children at 41 weeks? Less than 1% of abortions occur in the third trimester. No one is aborting kids at birth. Stick to talking about real issues like the border and maybe people will start taking the right seriously.
@eastvandb4 ай бұрын
@@minki46664 That's nonsense. Late terms abortions (which are almost never performed) are radically different from birthing a baby and then killing it. You should do a little of "your own research" as your people like to say about when and why late term abortions are ever performed. Except, your algorithms will only give you propaganda and nonsense.

Also in 2019 there was some governor (Virginia or West Virginia) who was advocating that babies who survived failed abortions shouldn't be given necessary/lifesaving care if the mom doesn't want...I'm assuming Trump was referring to that, but he should have clarified

Like trying to teach democrats a lesson by doing a protest vote by voting 3rd party. Yeah, that sure taught them, they sure learned a valuable lesson. Or we could've just kept postponing the inevitable Republican fascist takeover by electing democrat after democrat every election. Any time we take a single step forward with dems, republicans take over and force us 10 steps back. The way to not keep repeating these mistakes is to turn purple districts blue, and we do that by showing up every election, big and small (we are the majority). Progressives have much less of a shot in purple states because during the primaries, voters and the party are worried about appealing to the centrists during the general. If every progressive in those areas showed up to vote, even if it's a centrist we're voting for, we can work at primarying the centrist. But we can't do that if we're not all coming out in droves voting like the old fart republicans do. If we show how blue the majority of places are, we could've had a chance by making ourselves believe we had a chance. And maybe progressives would actually be able to get things done by evening the playing field with centrists, rather than having to bow their heads to centrists because there's like 10 progressives in a congress with 435 members. Maybe we could've shown America what it's been missing, leading people to not wanna go back. That's how we stop repeating the same mistakes over and over again. If our policies bare great fruit and people love it, we celebrate it and say this is what progressive policies are capable of. If other progressive policy gets shot down by centrist dems, we can point to them and say they're the reason we're not getting these great policies, we need to primary them to get our healthcare, free/cheap college and shit.
@nickv12124 ай бұрын
Doesn't have to be that way. Liberals are the majority. The reason progressives have a hard time winning is because we don't show up enough, showing that places are safely blue enough to run a progressive. And progressives can't get anything done because there's like 10 in all of congress. If we got the ball rolling and showed what great progressive policy is capable of and people love it like they do everywhere else in the world, then we can primary centrists who voted against it and similar proposals.

In humans, when they reach the age of late 70s through their 80s, the blood-brain barrier becomes permeable as it was when they were newborns. That means that infections, medications, cross the blood brain barrier and impact the brain in various ways. I have seen pneumonia cause hallucinations in my 80-year-old. Bladder infections cause sudden and profound mental confusion. This is a physical reality. It is one reason the torch should be gracefully passed to the next generation, especially for positions of power which affect millions of people.
@SnooperSwizzle07284 ай бұрын
The BBB is thinner in elderly because it becomes more permeable as a result of reduced strength of the collagen component if the vascular wall. While elderly are more likely to have urosepsis and altered mental status from an illness the physical symptoms would present prior to that onset (high fever, faster HR, rapid breathing). Hallucinations from severe illness can also occur but i have only ever seen that in ICU patients. the physical symptoms that qualify someone for ICU care would not permit someone to just be walking around and talking.
