Presonus Studio One 6 is ... buggy

For a really long time I wanted to make a video on Studio One and the bugs I face daily when working. I love Studio One but Presonus seems to be a step behind with the bugs and always chasing their tail and never catching up.
In the video I am showing just a couple of the big bugs that make me want to switch DAWs ( not going to happen but... ).

Yhhhh. That’s why I went back to logic. I feel like since it got bought out it’s not been the same. I also think the change to Apple silicon chips messed them up!

FL n Logic n all other DAWs r evolving. but Presonus recently got lots of pushback for not improving the DAW but rather pushin Subscription model BLATANTLY

I have not experienced any issues with Studio One on my PC. I love it!

Studio one has lots of bugs on M2 Mac running Sonoma, there's always something going wrong when you upgrade to a new version.They need to work on fixing the bugs first before bringing out a new version.

Version 6 is way too buggy. I addressed that neither the MPC vst nor the AU plugin opens since S1 v.6.1. The only answer I got from Presonus customer support was "please contact Akai" ignoring that I reported that there were no issue with those plugins in Logic Pro and Cubase. Kept reporting with every new S1 v.6 update but they keep ignoring the problem. So I returned to Cubase and Presonus lost a customer.

I had to switch back to Logic after S5. Really glad I did, especially with the cost for updates and the subscription model.

​@@2probeatsKeep in mind that I hated the first 4 months with it. Reaper is incredibly basic and if you don't install extension and available scripts it is just a basic daw. If you take the time it gets good

Previous certain VST3 pluggins worked but after update to latest 6.6, they dissappeared and I had to install VST2 versions which seems to be working. Also strange.

I worked in s1 for about five years, after buying a macbook I switched to logic pro, it works much better and faster, and the built-in plugins allowed me to replace some of the purchased ones

Having very much the same issues as you. Tje answer support gave me basically comes down to.they will not do anything about it and we have to wait for another update. Or use older version. I do not like using older version. I pay montly for a product where I want the latest version to work properly

You have an Support, the most problems come from plugins company 🎉 bitwig have an Sandbox system and the daw not crash 😊

Looking forward to this being fixed. I’m trying to mainly stick to S1 & bitwig connected via Jack. But I might have to swap s1 for Cubase. I have faith in S1 being the future but the community needs to demand more from presonus. I’ve been saying for a while that Bugs, crashing, freezing & lack of eucon support are killing studio one sales!! If they ever make s1 available to those who have high end eucon avid s series consoles they’ll likely be disappointed by the intolerable bugs even with the amazing work flow

The God particle interface does not work in mine either. The previous version of this particle works. Support told me the problem is on Cradles side. According to me it is not. As when I use tye God particle latest version in another DAW also on my system it works perfectly. S1 is also the best DAW for me currently.

Hello man, I had visual glitches like this when it comes to resizing plugins, the fix for me was to CAP MY FPS.

Schmeiß dein Apple in die Tonne. Auf dem Mac läuft noch nicht mal das hauseigene Garageband Plus (auch logic genannt...) ohne Probleme

On windows, god particle doesn’t work. And I realize the language mapping for other saws for example, logic doesn’t map correctly like it did before is versions 4

It has to be Studio One unfortunately because in Cubase Pro 13 all does plugins work fine and no bugs, I'm on Macos as well.

This is unacceptable. I'd never use a daw with these kinds of very basic bugs. Heart breaking really. Been using Ableton Live for 20+ years, and I don't recall a time it had such nasty bugs. The latest versions (11 and 12) have been near perfect imo. Not a single bug I could identify.

Hey.. just buy a shiny new interface to bypass those issues. Then, you can pay for the update when 7 drops' they may even add a few sub par overdue instruments to string you along. Smh!

Windows user here. My studio one freezes several plugins that run flawlessly on Cubase, bitwig, reason, Fl etc. I get crashes loading projects, crashes during playback, crashes when running obs May I ask what your computers specs are and what system settings you run in windows and s1?
