Hey Greg this is awesome compared to other DAWs where this stuff is all over the place :) One thing though, I wish we had fully editable and better colors for tracks and regions. Also more obvious representation of the selected region. Thank You!

Great video Gregor (as always 😁), thank you for that. Maybe you could make one on how to get a VST plugin to be detected by S1 in case when a plugin was installed while S1 was running. If I do that, refreshing plugin list in plugin manager doesn't show it, I have to close and reopen S1 to see newly installed plugin. Cheers! 😁

Hi Russplight, many thanks! "New root tab" simply means that a new tab is being added at root level (the very top level of your file system). "New tab from here" will add the folder you currently have selected as a tab to S1's Browser. -GBY

How long after a certain preference is getting stored in the .settings? Is it the frequency of usage that determines what is getting stored in general?

Most of the preferences get updated after a Song has been saved. Frequency of use has nothing to do with it. -GBY

Hi Gregor, I have Studio One spread across 2 monitors and it never opens in exactly the same position it was when I closed it. It always opens approxiamtely 1cm over towards the left leaving a space on the right. Any idea why? It's been a pain to have to adjust it everytime I use studio One. I actually have 4 monitors setup as 2x2, with Studio One across the bottom 2. The other 2 monitors show Softtube Console 1 on the RHS and I also use the Presonus Remote App on the LHS which is really handy, thanks for showing us how to use it. I at least now have a piece of software that enables me to move Studio One into the exact position in seconds, but I shouldn't need to do that! Wish I knew half the stuff you do, but I reckon I'm better at breaking Studio One than you. In fact I'm great at breaking most software or hardware. I mean as in bugs and hardware faults finding! Thanks for all your hard work!

Hello Gregor! I delete softbue bundle and i reinstall again and the daw studio one 4 it see them but i cannot use it. In Fl studio work normally. Before also in studio one. Have an ideea? Tnx a lot! I reset blacklist i put the folder again nothing. Also i don't have plugin mager idk why. I have to update to 4.5 or 5?

Hi Gregor, Does Studio one automatically update the settingsfolder every time? I mean, after a day work in Studio One, and when i made new shortcuts etcetera, Is the settingsfolder different from my backup on my external harddrive a day earlyer? In other words, do i have to overwrite the backup all the time, every day?

Hey, where can I contact you about a weird question that’s happening with my instrument VST plug-ins in studio one? Some of the plug-ins, they keep reverting back to the default setting whenever I press play.

Hey Chris, I address this at the very end of this video: Simply copy and paste the settings folder over to your new PC. This will carry over all of your S1 preferences. -GBY

Does this apply to all pro versions of S1 or just S1pro v5?

This applies to all Studio One versions, with the exception that the folder path is slightly different pre version 5. That said - because you can access the Settings Folder directly from the "Help" menu in Studio One as shown, it really is the same thing for all versions. -GBY

I had a hard time trying to add new devices and I realized it was a folder's permissions issue. So do a chmod 777 to this folder on a Mac if you're experiencing the same.

Is anyone using 2 Windows PCs with Studio One -- using One Drive or Google Drive to dynamically sync S1 Settings Folders? (i.e. so that making changes on PC 1 will also then be made for PC 2 automatically). Can this work? Any known pitfalls?

Have you created a video on how to reset keyboard shortcuts to their original settings? I cannot use the space bar to start AND stop playback. Really annoying.

Hi Peter, go to the keyboard shortcuts preferences and select "Studio One" from the dropdown menu at the bottom right. This is going to reset your shortcuts to the default assignments. -GBY

where can i set the frame rate for the video? my export has not so many frames like the original. but in the info of the video they are the same... what can i do for a good export like the original?

Hi, the Video Export should happen with the exact same Codec and Frame Rate as the original Video file. If that's not the case, then please set the frame rate to the correct value in the Song Settings menu. If you're unsure what the exact frame rate is, click the "From Video" button. But of course all the 3rd party plug-in stuff is in their own folders. :^( Wold be nice to have an industry standard for this stuff to make projects flow from machine to machine easier. I always hate loading a session missing that ONE drum sample.

You would do well to train your technical support as they are unable to solve any problems. In writing they do not understand and in video they do not understand better.
