Thank you for this. Going out in the kayak today. Post cold front, strong north winds, my graph is not working. Gonna be tough but this video helps to learn what I’m looking for. Will be tough but beats sitting in the couch. Appreciate your work

Fishing in super cold weather (In the North) can be super frustrating! I picked an awesome day last week (keep in mind the water temperature was only 42) and threw around a Megabass Vision 110 Jerkbait in Sexy Shad as well as a 6" Megabass Magdraft. I fished right before a cold front so had some great luck! Ended up catching a 6 pound largemouth on the magdraft and several other bass over 2 pounds on the jerkbait! Thanks for the tips Gene!

So, what was the weight on that fish? Your scale was out of the frame. Was it a 6 or 7 pound? Also what lake are you in? I would love to hook up with you and Chad so you all can teach my nephew how to use lures. He loves live bait but I keep telling him it is more of a challenge for artificial.

Gene, i'd like to know your opinion about ffs? There is no doubt whatsoever that professional bass fishing, opens, etc. boils down to who who can scope the best wins. Even shallow water now. I dont fish major tournaments, and obviously don't have to use ffs, but if 10 years ago when I really got into fishing, thanks in part to you, if all I saw to be a top angler and to find fish, I have to scan around and stare at a screen, basically playing a video game, I might not have got into fishing the way I did.

Imagine the water only going down to 67? That is pretty funny. I've lived up north but I'm in Virginia now and the water temp is in the 40s, and I'm not even that far north 😆😆

I got news for you yes we do in some parts it gets down to 20 degrees and 45 degrees feels cold to us we are adapted to warmer weather than northern people are it’s different cold here too
