A frog is my go-to in late winter and early spring for locating and catching bass. If they miss the frog, I will follow it up with wacky rig Senko or weightless T-rig Senko.

I’ve been waiting on a part for a week for my big motor on my boat and I have livescope on my boat and have been fishing with my grandpa in his aluminum boat, only electronics is a trolling motor definitely been fishing differently this week

From living in middle Ohio around alum Creek lake and Hoover etc I'd say the water there is still upper 40's however now that I'm back home in Tennessee the water here is mid 50's and id definitely use a buzz bait or a walking style topwater. Up there I'd still be iffy and I'm typing this at the beginning of your video. Lol. But yes when you hit the 50 degree mark topwater is game for me. As long as you have rising temps they'll hit a buzzer or walker. Possibly a frog because it's not moving and it's a dead target.

The other day water temp was 52. I had two bass hit my chatterbait when I reeled it in super fast for another cast. I’m thinking it’s buzzbait time.

I threw a toad today here in Oklahoma and had 1 strike in about 30 minutes of fishing a pond.

Booyah makes a 1/2 oz buzz bait with a clacker and red eyes. I've had success year after year with it, catching multiple 5-pounders in late March through October in Oklahoma. Lastly, when pond fishing, give the H&H 3/8 single Colorado spinner a try. It's an older lure that works exceptionally well in Oklahoma ponds. They are less than $3 and have caught me a ton of fish over the decades. If you want a more weedless version, go with the Booyah Pond Magic. Best of luck out there!

Buzz bait is one of the best dirty water topwater bait

Go with a black buzzbait under those conditions. Booyah makes a black 1/2 oz buzzbait with a clacker and red eyes. I've had success year after year with it, catching multiple 5-pounders in late March through October in Oklahoma. I tried to provide a hyperlink in a previous reply, but it seems to have been removed. It's worth looking up. They are cheap and will get you fish throughout the season! Best of luck out there!
