@MakeSushi15 жыл бұрын
There are different grades of nori, some better than others. Look for A grade nori. Aso you can try toasting the nori lightly before using it, you can use a home bread toaster or a coal fire, be careful not to over toast it.

I'm comsidering opening a small sushi restaurant but I've never worked in a restaurant. I've been rolling sushi for over 10 years and I also make dumplings from scratch. How can I find a good fish supplier? The ones online seem too expensive. Also do most sushi restaurants buy the fish whole and break them down? And I'd love a fish supplier that offers much more than tuna, salmon and eel.
@MakeSushi15 жыл бұрын
where are you located? some select high end places will fly fish from japan, but thats just the top 0.1% of restaurants and a good way to go broke if you dont have the reputation. you should really be looking for local/state wide distributers.

Liked the new style of video, but please the music doesnt have to be that loud. Kind of drowned out the cutting sounds. If thats what you wanted then good though. Question, why put the form in water if you are going to use plastic wrap also? The only part that wasnt covered in plastic wrap seemed to come off the board ok, would it have stuck if you hadnt dunked it in water first?
@MakeSushi15 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a little difficult to find the balance between the sound volume and the music, when I was making it I definitely wanted the music to be like that, but I do see your point and I think if I do one of these videos again ill balance it to have more of the cooking sounds. And yes the water helps to stop rice sticking to the wood, although I used cling film there are still parts of the box exposed so the water helps stop rice sticking to the lid or sides.

What type of psycho leaves the top pit in the avacado and the peel on an onion?
@MakeSushi15 жыл бұрын
the top pit was removed at a later stage, it would have been removed before but it's all the same obviously not serving a brown hard part of an avocado. The onion peel was reasonably soft on this onion also it wasn't the outer layer it was the second layer under that if I recall correctly, not that big a deal.

@MakeSushi15 жыл бұрын
Actually it took the whole day to cut it down to that, its was just a complete accident that it ended close to 10 min. Look at the rest of the videos on this channel I don’t care about hitting the 10 minute mark. Lastly while editing I was annoyed I couldn’t get it down to 3 songs and had to stick a little bit of the first song on at the end because the video footage was too long.

Btw, what is “BGM”?
@ssplintergirl5 жыл бұрын
@@MakeSushi1 What I'm saying is that you need to add more substance per minute with the videos. I mean no disrespect with my criticisms, I am just saying that it is better to have a faster, more substantive video with less "dead air" where there is little action in frame than having a more dragged out one. BGM is back ground music.
