Pressol Spray Bottle Update: ver. 1.1 Has Arrived

On November 22nd, 2019, what I call Version 1.1 of the spray bottles arrived from Germany. Believe it or not, I bought $30K worth of these not knowing exactly what I'm getting. Dealing with language barriers and shipping things thousands of miles across the Ocean is always a risky move.
I've been testing and playing with this new version for a few days now and have determined that it is likely they have fixed the tip failure issue of the Red and Black versions of the bottles. The tips appear to have a different thread count and chamfer internally that allows for the tip to not need to be torqued down so hard in order to atomize. So...I think we have solved the initial issues and now I'd like to have us all do some more longer-term testing to continue pursuing improving these further.
Just like the first time around, I'm going to approach these a little differently than most of the other products we have in the OG collection. Based on the feedback from the OG community, I've sourced these in quantity and am making them available for you to purchase. I'm counting on you to help supercharge our testing and hopefully play a role in future development of this product. It would take me years to vet these with different types of detail products and potential failure points. I'm confident you will help find the issues with these sprayers and put them through their paces, and I'm assuming many of you like being part of the development process.

@@stewpaddas4540 Matt's ultimate goal is to provide a quality sprayer that is both reliable and comfortable to use. If you watch the video he explains that he ordered quite a lot of these to get them out into the public and get tested. Then he would go back to the manufacturer with any problems or improvements that need to be addressed. This is not a cheap project for Matt and the OG team but I have all the confidence that they will provide a great sprayer and bottle for those of us that want more than a run of the mill bottle that will only last a few months.

I bought one of the blue 500ml sprayers a while back and kind of regret not giving you any feedback earlier. Its been awesome having a stylish bottle in the trunk with a folded microfiber as a backup for whenever needed. I've since used with CarPro Ech20 and/or Optimum No Rinse diluted appropriately with no leaks or cracks. I'll be sure to have one of the new ones in my next order and hopefully overhaul my entire bottle lineup someday! Reminder to self: Provide you feedback along the way. Thanks again for all you do!

Did not comment on this when I purchased 4 bottles from round one but the bottles need a rear flange that rests in the web of you hand. Helps carry weight on larger bottles. With flange missing gets old holding them.

I'm telling you Matt, clear bottles is where it's at. I don't know about you but I like to see the colors of the solution in the bottle, it's more aesthetically pleasing.

The problem with clear is that it has to be PET plastic. PET is not the best for chemicals. These will have to be translucent.

Yes! I have put them on my meguiars bottles and they fit fine. Unfortunately my sprayers failed fairly quick. Hopeful that they will continue to improve the design.

I've always used the HDX or Zep spray bottles from home depot. How are these sprayers better than an HDX or Zep bottle?

@@ObsessedGarage Agreed the OG bottles look WAY better. I think a good idea for a video would be a comparison on how they actually spray better. I personally don't see the value in paying 5 times the cost for a bottle that looks better unless I can see it also perform better.

I also use these, but I would be lying if I said they didn’t feel cheap. I’ve not bought any new ones for at least a few years, so I wouldn’t say they’re bad. I’m known to take care of my stuff pretty well, and I’ve had a lot of my sprayers sitting in pure power clean and various APCs, with no issues over the years. Then again, I still have my original sprayer head that came with my wheel brightener bottle, which I stopped flushing with water after use a long time ago. If OG ends up nailing these bottles, I’d gladly spend a bit more for something that feels good to use.

Just an idea: why don’t you include a bottle in a new subscription to the hex-plus, or include the bottle as an item in the garage give-a-way at the $15 price point (two bottles is roughly one coin) for testing purposes? I’m sure these would expedite the outsourcing of the bottle for testing.

I'm having trouble understanding how pressol were still selling these with a basic defect like a tip failing. More so if they are selling these to industrial clients. Nobody complain about these before OG tested them? Or maybe their bottles are a new product that didn't get that much testing. I read they are mainly doing lubrification pumps and equipments so they might not rely on selling sprayers. It does have a cool system with the weighted tube, and a longer trigger. Still not great looking, but the all black sprayer with a blue bottle or a clear one looks cool.

They do seem to be suitable for low viscosity : "recommended for use with ultra-low viscosity media, such as lubricants, Brake Cleaner and cleaners in areas industry and car" And without acetone "Acetone FREE brake cleaner".

3 years later $.10 Pressol Replacement Sprayer Tip costs $1.75 and $1 Pressol Replacement Weighted Tube (plastic, not steel) costs $5. One day the price will come down. It will.

Yeah...I'm not getting as far as I'd like with them improving the product. Prices just keep rising, but we are still having tip splitting and valves clogging. I met with the owner and his right hand guy last month, so I'm hoping to make some progress soon. If we can get the tips fixed, then we can open up wholesale and begin bringing in much larger shipments that will help prices pretty dramatically.
