Could you suggest me a book on lorentz and poincare group/transformations. I was studying general relativity from ray d'inverno, but it has very little about the lorentz and poincare transformation.

I found that Carroll's book "Spacetime and Geometry: An Introduction to General Relativity" provides an excellent intro to spectial relativity (and then also general relativity, if you're interested).
