One thing I've learned in a dirty vehicle like this is First to wash it down and scrub it a little bit... I do underside too the best I can w/o a Lift, Then add soap (let it work 5-10 mins) Repeat step 1 and done. Plus ofc on an older vehicle or something "Restored" etc don't go up against the paint it'll chip it right off. Learned the hard way on that

So satisfying to watch that crudd come off the sides. What a beautiful truck. If gas wasn't so expensive here in Canada I'd have a dually for sure. Keep up the good work we luv what you do.

*For vehicles that have old caked on dirt and tree sap like this you need a foam cannon to apply soap (under $20 on ebay), cover the entire vehicle including the wheel wells and let it sit for 10-15 mins then rinse and watch ALL of the dirt and debris come right off.*

She cleaned up nice! That’s coming from a detailer! Just a repaint off white on the rims and she will look like new! That body is in amazing shape!!!! That’s worth some serious change down here in New York, but maybe worth more to you to use it for a few years first. Good find brother!

Well damn! That's a nice looking truck! I'm up in the rust belt in PA and those trucks are getting very rare because they all rust out, but if they're not rusted out they are gold man. The 88'-98' Chevy's were some of the best trucks ever made.
@collapse40684 жыл бұрын
The satisfaction from that pressure wash though lol. Not gonna lie,that truck is looking damn good now! Glad you are keeping it. Making it look so good makes me really worry about the owner wanting it back,hope you got the pink slip or are gonna get it REAL SOON. Might be worth taking up that warehouse deal that you were offered before to stay at . That way you can so some more to the truck and save some money and prob make some money at or near the warehouse. Good luck can't wait for the next vid.

Wow, looking good. Think about looking for a 10-11 foot camper to put on the back, get your self a trailer to tow and set up a workshop in. Might be the prefect setup for you. Put a little solar on both, you might have it made. Just something to think about. Good luck.

I'm sure you realize what a truck that is. There isn't much a 1-ton 4wd dually can't do. I drove a '93 1/2-ton Silverado for a long time. These got sort of pushed by the wayside when guys got trained to want $40K diesel trucks with leather-encased butt massagers, so there are some screaming deals to be had, especially one that isn't running.

Danny S. I would be surprised if it got more than 11mpg empty with a tail wind. 4x4 + dually and a 454 while a tough truck, is not going to go easy on the fuel.

I wished l was there to help you detail the truck. This just a suggestion but instead of painting the wheels get some chrome overlays. That would make the whole truck just POP! I'm trying to remember but didn't the previous owner give the truck to you? That is great looking rig. I kinda wish l had it. The color combination is really good l think. If you get those new ceramic products that Turtle Wax has and put them on your paint the truck will be standing so tall you won't be able to get into it. LOL.

Dude I’ve wanted this truck since u started working on it. It definitely has got a new lease on life, just somebody needed to give it to her. Great job. She would look mean with a lift kit and a set of black wheels and some taller rubber. And I ain’t talking about those gawd awful huge ass wheels that you see sticking out 3 foot from the truck and an inch of rubber. Maybe I’m just old school but that just ruins a 4x4 truck.

I had an '89 Chevy Silverado, basically same body style but a 2x4. The biggest pain in the butt that truck ever had was the way GM cheaped out on the tail lights. I was constantly having trouble with tail light failures even though the bulbs were good. Finally pulled the whole thing off and found that the thin copper strips were eaten almost completely away. I don't know if GM was trying to simulate a circuit board or just what the idea was but I finally took some solid electrical wire, stripped all the insulation off and soldered it along the entire area of those thin copper strips. That solved it's problem and I never had to deal with bad tail lights again.
