May I point out two things on the “Guide to variegated Monstera deliciosa 2024”? Can you add to each plant if it’s a large or small form? The section “Monstera deliciosa Ocean Mint” Under “Variegation” there is a little typo. You forgot the space between deliciosa and with “Ocean Mint appears to be a large form mint-like deliciosawith markings…” The section “Monstera deliciosa White Lava” under variegation you described the variegation from Oceana. The section “Monstera Green on Green GoG variegata (sectorial)” Under “variegation” it’s described that there is a risk of reverting to all green or all white. Is the all white part correct? Thank you so much for the guide

You're providing a service and should be compensated for that. It's a fair combination. We get some stuff for free and are charged a very fair amount for extra content if desired. Win, win!

You shouldn’t be addressing the negativity. So many KZbinrs have paid memberships for this exact thing. If people don’t want to pay for a membership then they don’t. You still put out amazing free content for everyone to enjoy.

I agree with this person. Ignore the haters. Don’t give them the time of day or the energy that is your’s. They need the attention for validation. You do you and you keep up the great work.

I love this. Thank you for all your knowledge and effort you put into your channel. I’m going to counter the negativity with this comment. 😊 Just remember… people are more likely to write something negative, projecting, than positive right now and in general.

I love your content I look forward to each one. I don’t understand why you don’t have more followers. As far as paid content, I follow many creators who offer subscriptions and free content. I am unable to pay at this time in my financial journey but I comment, like and recommend you to others as well.

It takes so much time and effort to produce content let alone run a plant business. Consumers expect a lot out of small businesses because large corporations are able to work at a scale that family owned companies cannot. You don’t have to justify a thing!

There shouldn’t be that much pushback. The stuff you showed in the video last week was stuff that you never would have shown otherwise anyway. I don’t see a problem with wanting to share your professional secrets for people who are interested in that type of thing. Clearly you are still taking care of us! 😁

💚☮I think the US market was too quick to critique immature-form plants like Teruno Shangri-la (& now, M. medusa). I've grown shangri-la & champs elysee up moss poles & MAN, are people missing out on the party in the BACK w/ them weird cups! Yes, little cups grow out fm the back of their leaves. Teruno calls these cultivars "3-D Pothos". I'm a fan of the weird textures. Thank you for referring palmstreet. I bought Monsteras White Monster, Yellow Marilyn, & Full Mint in the past few weeks. All TC & in great shape… only about $50/ea.💚

The problem for yellow Marilyn is how heavily they are pouring out of TC now! I have seen a few sources selling them individually in vitro for $50-$70, and I’ve seen white monster individually for $30.

I get frustrated that people don't understand or don't want to see that people should be able to make a living growing plants. How is it any different to any other business?! No one expects to get clothes or jewellery or even food for free, no one thinks that a restaurant should give away proprietary recipes, or that any other business should give away premium products that have taken a lot of time, work and expensive ingredients...so why does this continually come up with plants! It's frustrating. Growing plants well enough to sell takes skill, learning, time and inputs. And as someone who has run a channel myself, and had to let it go because its a full time job with a lotto ticket for payment (ie extremely unlikely ever to make an income) I totally get how much goes into videos.

Here! www.aroidcultivars.org/ Not all of these are official cultivars... but it seems that's more of an official process, and most people disregard it

Please can you help me? Is there such a thing as a dwarf or small size Thai Constellation? I keep thinking i have one. I have 2 thai cons. Bought them at the same time. I keep them in the same spot and treat them the same way. One is now almost twice the size as other with twice the root size. The smaller one has much smaller roots and puts out much smaller leaves. Thanks for your help.
@prettyingreen10 күн бұрын
Hi! yes, a Dwarf Thai Con has been patented from Thailand! You could definitely have one! We have a video on the 10 types of thai cons: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4HMZ6Woa7SDn9Esi=2FrANo8yDfMRR08e

for me a lot of these variegations look so sickly, i’m not a fan of the yellow colors or the ones with large patches of white. i purchased my thai constellation off of etsy for 3 leaves for $100 (this was a year or more ago) it has been an amazing specimen to have. i keep my plants outside during the summer times and i noticed my thai constellation can handle A LOT more light than my standard monstera. i realized when i can provide more light i get no browning on white portions on the leaves. it’s a very interesting plant. could you do a video over dirt mixes? for example when i was working at a mom and pop nursery i never knew that there was such things as “growers grade dirt”. i love BM7 it’s an amazing mix and i use it for ALL of my plants. whenever i need more i go back to my nursery and buy a large bag for $20. also i higly recommend Super Thirive if you want to give a good boost to your plants every once in a while when you’re watering. i wonder if there’s more types of dirt mixes like this 🤔
@manuelavonwitteАй бұрын
That’s because the variegated parts of the leaf don’t have chlorophyll to absorb light so they only take in photons through the green and therefore need a lot more light to produce the same photosynthesis. Or something like that!
@GreenWitch1Ай бұрын
I feel the same about most of these monsteras. They all just look sick. As far as potting mix (not dirt), a lot of channels show how they mix their own & there are premade mixes for each variety of plant species. Watch Sydney plant guy and Aloha plant life. Other channels feature premade mixes which are more expensive in the long run where mixing your own is more expensive in the short term but much less so in the long run.

Omg, sorry for always being so critical but that's just the way my mind works. I'm still here watching your videos though, so I enjoy your content nonetheless. (Also, I'm a dude) Anyway, I wanted to pitch in about what prices are like in Canada to compare because I'd also be curious to see what the prices are like elsewhere. I can't tell the prices for each and every one of these as most of them are not available around here but here are some prices from 2024 I either saw on Marketplace or from local sellers. Prices in USD. Monstera albo or aurea (for benchmark) $30-50; Monstera 'Bulbasaur' (single-leaf cutting) $3260; Monstera 'Starlight' $1080; Monstera 'Oceana' $360-1450; Monstera 'Crème Brûlée' $360; Monstera 'Mint NoID' $100; Monstera 'Thai Constellation Tricolour' aka 'Miracle' $140. I'm not even kidding about the TriCon, I got mine only this week and couldn't believe it but I found two sellers selling it for that price so far but the supply is quite limited and they sell FAST. I'm pretty sure you guys can figure out how this plant can be sold for that cheap, so I won't go at length about it. I was thinking of keeping that secret to myself for a little while but to everyone who wants one, just know that the price might crash soon, so don't go thinking that this is a good investment at the moment. I can't guarantee that this price will cross the border to the US though, I'm still on the hunt to find out who the hell produces these but I think that they're local as nobody in their right mind would do this from Asia. ibb.co/3hHZcQG Listing of the exact plant I bought, it isn't the best specimen I've seen but the only one I saw still available. Also, on a side note, a Chinese collector offered me a Devil Monster cutting for $12000 and I did notice that most big league sellers from Asia have it it so it's not super rare but since I don't have that kind of money to blow on plants (and believe that these prices are maintained high artificially), I'll wait it out.
